Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1963 GMC pick-up VIN 1001PG6147A with a 305 V-6 engine and 3-speed column manual transmission. Engine is original matching numbers with the original GMC plaid valve covers. The engine was one of the most scientific advances in the early 1960's. It's a torque monster with the V-6. Mileage is 53,008 miles (I don't know if these are original miles, but based on the condition of this truck, I would not doubt it). This exterior color is palomino tan and the interior color is gold and brown. I bought this truck in Texas last year. I was told it was originally from Kentucky or Tennessee. The reason that I bought this truck is because of its original, all stock condition. When I bought the truck, I was told it underwent a complete restoration in 1994. When I replaced the tires, the tires were from 1994. It's in great shape and cared for nicely over the years. I've driven the truck about 600 miles since owning it. It runs and drives fantastic! I replaced the tires all the way around (Goodyear Wrangler). All gauges work including the speedometer, but the fuel gauge never goes to full when the gas tank is full. Turn signal and high beam lights work. Cab dome light works Horn works. Heater, defroster, and fan blower all work. And the original am radio works great (I recently replaced the speaker). Also, I recently replaced: * The clutch master slave cylinder* New set of points* New spark plugs and wires* New battery* New front and rear shocks* Fresh oil/filter change* Restained the wood bed I accidentally hit the side of my garage with the side mirror recently (only the mirror and not the body of the truck), so the side mirror needs to be replaced (picture included). Couple of other things that the buyer should be aware of: * Couple of rust bubble spots on the passenger side door. Nothing to worry about, but I included pictures for full disclosure.* Wood rot in the bed of the truck at the front left side. Again, nothing to worry about, but wanted to fully disclose.* As with any older motor, it leaks a few drops of oil here and there. Original owners manual and two keys will come with the truck. Also, I put a 1963 replica Texas inspection sticker on the truck (it isn't original). I will want to retain the 1963 Texas license plates. i've included a lot of pictures so that you can inspect the interior/exterior/undercarriage of the truck. I've had a lot of fun with the truck over the last year, but moving to Seattle requires me to sell. It's in fabulous shape for being 52 years old. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time given that the truck is available locally as well. $1,000 deposit is due via paypal within 72 hours after the auction ends. Cash or certified check will be acceptable for the balance. Happy to answer any questions that you may have... I've tried to describe as accurately as I can. Clear Texas title in hand. Selling with no reserve as it needs to go! Thanks!
