Time to leave winter behind and start the cruise. Cars like this explain why it was so exciting for the new models to come out in my youth. Graceful and stunning 1965 Ford Thunderbird. Good honest car, restore it and just take it out and have people excited about it as is. Just had it completely gone over at a shop that works on classic cars. They put a new Holly carb on the 390 and it runs strong. compression and all systems except AC check out. Did not have AC converted or charged. Hoses all look good but AC not my thing. New tires, brakes done, all lines checked and replaced if any possible need. I have two other projects going with a 442 and Lemans convertible so this really needs to find someone to love it as my attention needs to be more focused. Pictures include sheet from Duffy collector cars which sold it in 1993 to a Massachusetts Collector, when he was incapacitated with age his cars were being sold to help pay for his care and I just could not pass it up. Sheet has the details on the car so no need to repeat it all here. Car can be seen and driven in South Windsor CT. It is up for local sale so auction may end early as it will not last long as this affordable an entry into being the center of attention at your local cruise-in. Trunk in great shape. Engine in great shape. Roughest part of interior is hand grip on driver's door which is cracked and shows its age. It looks like new carpet was put in at Duffy's but otherwise interior has not been restored. Original radio there but not working. Had all the systems checked, replaced electronics that run sequential tail lights so you can turn in style. Has great opening vent windows, why did they ever do away with these. Love them. Prior owner was a collector who shipped it to Massachusetts and kept it as part of a group of cars. I had it shipped to CT and drove it a little before having the major operating and safety systems gone through before it got but away for winter. So it has not been driven far since it left Duffy's but it is ready to go.
