Vehicle Detail
This is a non-restored 36 year old motorcycle that has been fairly well taken care of, but it does show its’ age. It has new battery but still needs a front brake master cylinder, a rear tire, and the carbs cleaned. It seems to run well and other than those minor things, I believe it needs nothing more to be a fun and safe bike to tool around on. It is best suited for pleasure rides and not as a cross country touring bike. Extras on the bike are the Windjammer fairing with a Vetter stereo console and an older Jensen stereo, an aftermarket king / queen bucket seat that could use reupholstering, and a sissy bar. As far as the overall condition of the bike, it is in pretty good shape. Cosmetically, what I have noted are typical for a bike of this age. There are small scratches and scrapes in the paint here and there, with the worst being the top of the gas tank. The gas tank is solid with no holes or repairs. The inside of the tank is in pretty good shape, although I would coat it. The side panels have been rigged to stay in place and are pretty solid (they still press into place) - one has been trimmed to accommodate the sidecar mounting. The fairing is in pretty good shape but does have some scuffing on the chrome edge trim. There are no cracks in the fiberglass or any other structural issues. The finish on the fairing is in pretty good shape although there are a few spots on the decals that are blemished. The locking glove box door did get some brake fluid on it at some point, but could easily be painted. The exhaust has typical surface rust, but is solid. The rest of the bike is just what you would expect from a bike of this age. As far as the sidecar, it is a 1990 Velorex 562E that is in pretty good shape and has a somewhat new tire on it. The seat is in great condition with no rips or tears. The paint is in OK shape but does have one 50 cent piece sized bubble in it and some scratches and scrapes. The sidecar fender is in good shape, but does have some bad scratches in the paint towards the bottom front. Not pictured is a tonneau cover for the sidecar and an enclosed passenger cab cover. I am not sure on the overall condition or usefulness of these as I have not ever tried to mount them, but they do appear solid with no major issues. All in all, this is a pretty good setup that could be easily restored, turned into a unique café bike, or ridden as is for fun & retro 70’s ride. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
