Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1990-300ZX 2+2 5 spd, 172k, T- tops, cloth interior, original Pearlescent paint & electronic package. Carefully driven and maintained by 67 yr-old, non-smoker, original owner who can no longer easily enter and exit car. The car is unmolested, has not been "beat on". This car has been very well maintained. This is the normally aspirated engine (same engine internally as the twin turbo), so it is very under-stressed. Zymol products used to wash and wax. If you don’t know what that means – the wax alone costs roughly $50 per jar. Most other cars out there are in their second or third owner who will not have spent the money to rebuild the brake calipers three times, bought a car cover even though the car spent much of its life inside the garage, and spent roughly $4,000 six years ago to do the timing belt, fuel injectors, etc to bring it up to top shape. Minimal alterations – Greddy aftermarket exhaust (too noisy for my taste) and Eibach “progressive” springs (original springs still available), braided brake lines (great, solid pedal feel) Timing belt done early at 55k and 115k. Relatively new exhaust, fuel injectors, water pump, radiator. Rebuilt brakes & relatively new tires. Second stock clutch at roughly 135k by local Z specialty shop. No snow and almost no rain for most of its life until recently. Antique car is now taking up garage space. Paint still great. Interior clean. Suspension and driveline tight. Very few door dings, rock chips, etc. Original wheels have no “curb rash”. Garage kept. Note - very worn spot on driver’s seat outside bolster. Original dealer’s sales brochure and Nissan workshop manual included. Phone number of mechanic who did much of the work on request. He will attest to my attitude toward properly maintaining cars and my obsessive handling of proper repairs/maintenance. 2 inch thick folder of receipts does not include all items repaired/maintained. Many other cars are in their second or third young owner who did not properly maintain the car, and generally have some story associated with them that will ultimately cost several thousand to repair. The car is fairly priced – reserve is commensurate with condition of car. Here are the bad parts. Rust now occurring in rear wheel wells – see pictures. Driver’s seat has significant wear and hole in outside bolster. – see pictures Small, but significant dent in top of right fender – see pictures. Shift linkage is loose because the plastic grommets/washers/spacers are probably gone. I have replacements to put in next time a clutch is done. Lower part of front airdam inside is dislocated. Radio does not hold station presets. Leaking steering rack – not heavy, just a few drops on the driveway. Heater core developed small leak last year, and the local radiator shop suggested sealing with Bar’s Leak rather than replacing core. That was done, and it seems to be holding. On May-11-15 at 12:16:09 PDT, seller added the following information: PLEASE NOTE: Car was caught in hail storm about 2 years ago and has about 10-15 dimples in hood. I cannot get them to show up in pictures. They are small (dime to quarter in size) and not deep. This car came with an aluminum hood, so that is the location where the greatest damage is visible.
