We are finally selling our old tow truck , We used this truck as a backup for special events and for very very low clearance parking garages. We bought the truck about 4 years ago and put quite a lot in to because we had a certain contract that had a ridiculous clearance issue. The truck is a 1987 GMC 3500 , RWD , 3spd manual + L (granny gear). Bed is a vulcan wrecker bed with wheel lift. Boom is Extendable and is hydraulic , wheel lift is the same plus it does have tilt. The truck does still have sling , we took it out of the shed and installed it back on the truck for the new owner. We also bought new control arms and wheel grids with straps , we were having clearance issue with some vehicles with the vulcan scoops. The vulcan scoops and grids will be included with the truck and our very simple to switch back. The winch works great and has a new hydraulic pump/motor. The Beacon also has the flip down option and the boom sheave can be removed by pulling a bolt for that ultra low clearance problem. Tires on the truck are brand new , Tons of news parts , new flywheel , new clutch , new clutch hydraulics, new distributer,new brakes , new front coil springs , new ECM , etc etc. The wrecker will come work ready and most of these trucks don't but it will include dollies with brand new tires , with aluminum axles . Hydraulic GoJacks - which one of them is acting up which may need work, wireless led light. The truck is turn key runs Excellent and you can put it right to work and make money , no needing to buy dollies , and brackets etc. As far as issues with the truck , the steering gearbox leaks , the tool boxes had been removed , the paint is just a cheap one we put on 4 years ago just to make presentable it also used to be red, its nothing special and is faded , scratched , and has chips. 3rd gear slightly grinds when shifting from 2nd to 3rd when the truck is fully warmed up but its very slightly it has done it since day one when we bought it and its never been a problem. Truck is old and not perfect but we just made about $8,000 with it last week for a big event we had in town and we used all 3 of our tow trucks , so this truck will pay for itself in no time.
