1972 JEEP COMMANDO304 CI V8 ENGINE4X4AUTOMATICAIR CONDITIONI have owned this vehicle for over 30 years. I drove it quite a bit in my early days. It is very original. I can't see the first digit on the odometer. It is either a 0 or a 9. I thought that I would never sell my Commando but the building that I had it stored in was taken by the state to widen the road. This was very nice until I had to set it outside for the past few years. The seats are original. They have a tear which can be seen in the pictures on the drivers side. This would be an easy fix to have the original interior. It needs a good cleaning. I stopped driving it when the gas tank started leaking several years ago. The gas tank has been removed. The radio is original. It has some light surface rust due to sitting outside. There is no "through" rust and far from it! It is rare to find one in original condition. It needs a gas tank which can be bought for around $200.00 online. With that it shouldn't take too much to get it running again. If you are looking for a good solid original late model Commando to fix up you want find a better one! It has always been on my keeper list but I have no where to keep it inside.
