This is truly a barn find. It has been I my barn for nearly 20 years. And before that for some unknown period of time in warehouse where I came across it. I was planning to restore it in my retirement years. However, things have changed and I need to let it find a new home. This is a true 428 Cobra Jet R Code. The original dash VIN tag, matches the original fender “buck” tag, matches the original door information tag. Yes all three are on this car, and have age appropriate wear. The Deluxe Marti Report shown in the pictures also matches each of those. And I have the clear NC title in my name. You can see the original Champagne Gold paint color in the picture of the side scoop area, and on the inside floorboards. It has manual drum brakes and manual steering. It came with a heavy duty C-6 automatic transmission, and the 428 Cobra Jet engine with the R Code, Ram Air, “Shaker Scoop” option. All of which are not included with this rolling chassis. I have not verified, so I don’t know, if it still that the original 3.50 Traction-Lok Rear Axle. The pictures are considered part of the description, so please look at them carefully. Everything that is included in this auction is in those pictures. If it is not in those pictures it is not included. The critical (and most costly to repair) are solid and not rusted through. This car has far less rust through that many I have seen. The rusted floor board areas, and the rear quarters are an easy fix for a competent body man. I can supply – AT AN ADDITIONAL COST -- genuine Cobra Jet Block, crank, heads and intake. The interior will need to be totally restored. And again, at an extra cost, I can provide most of the needed items. Or you can find them on ebay or elsewhere. I will work with the shipping company of your choice.
