Vehicle Detail

I thought my kids wanted to pursue this project with me... but not right now. And we're more Pontiac fans anyway (I was looking for 70-76 FB/TA)... so... 1972 Camaro Rally Sport, 4 speed project. Engine was professionally, and meticulously rebuilt and then the car was only driven for one week (about 400 miles). Factory A/C car, hugger orange with black interior, rear spoiler, rear defogger, am-fm, etc. I removed the back seat and the floorpans have surface rust but are still solid and not even a pin hole. Small pin hole rust on drivers side rear window, rust thru on passenger side upper door window frame, and lower quarter on passenger side (it was in a garage from 1987-2004, outside since, started up monthly til approx 2004-06). Doors close super tight, passenger side door handle is loose but opens from inside. headliner is dead, front windshield in dead. Keys were lost but a whole new set from Classic industries is in route. All the A/C stuff is still there. Engine has headers, holley intake/carb, crane cam, other than that I've been told its stock. Hood is perfect and opens easily, no kinks. Supension is solid and rode perfectly while I was bring towed in it. Even emergency brake works. Dual exhaust is in intact. Door panels, back seat panels, plastic, dash face all in good shape. More pics and info on request... just ask. I havent sold a car in long long time, not sure what else to say. We may get it running tomorrow (4-15). Gas smells ok in tank and we siphoned some out... odd it wasnt rusty. This car has led a charmed life for sitting so long. On Apr-15-15 at 14:02:42 PDT, seller added the following information: Updates: Floorplans and trunk are both solid, not even a pin hole. Surface rust only. I found the power brake booster in the trunk, a vintage CB radio, and some extra interior parts. I've included pics of the bad lower quarter and the replacement included. The vintage cragar mag set (5) are included... and now for the bad part, sort of... ***The wheels on the car should have been listed as optional. I spent many years looking for those and they actually belong on our long term project car. I will of course have the car on rollers (pontiac rallys). There is a set here on ebay for $2000 (crazy price for Western "Minilites" 15x8.5), but they are worth $550 to me. Sorry, I'm an idiot.*** Other info:Radio base not cutFront disc brakes10 bolt rear axle, no sure if posiOEM rubber mats (but may be unusable)Traction bars welded to axleDual exhaust with thrusters intact, no holes Hopefully this helpsOn Apr-16-15 at 07:50:58 PDT, seller added the following information: If the bidding exceeds $4700 the wheels / tires stay on the car. I got a message that I was being a jerk about them, so sorry. I made a mistake. We also have the stainless rocker molding and a set of recoverable seats from a 74 Camaro. I got a request for shots under the car, did what I could. On Apr-17-15 at 14:46:50 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: I forgot, the trunk had two bumpers jacks, not great shape, but there. BIG NEWS: ran the feed to the fuel pump into a clean bottle of gas... and got it running... for about 20 seconds. Ran smooth and quiet. No lifter noise, no rough idle... smooth as silk. Couldn't keep it idling though. Either I flooded it or?... doesn't sound like the plugs are firing now. I might have time tomorrow to pull the plugs, put in fresh ones, and check the HEI module... I'm just not the smartest guy electrically. BUT YES, IT DID RUN. Wooohhoooo...
