I'm listing my 1989 Toyota LandCruiser FJ62. My father Purchased this vehicle around 12 years ago and sold it to me about 5 years ago. I'm selling because I own eight other vehicles including two more LandCruisers and I simply don't have the time, space or money to truly restore the body and enjoy the vehicle. I want it to go to a person who will use it and enjoy it and hopefully fix all of the little problems. The vehicle has not been registered for over a year but it runs very well, shifts very well and everything works. It has a normal amount of rust for a LandCruiser of this vintage with rust through on the rear fender wells and spots of surface rust in numerous places. The body could be easily restored to showroom fresh by a competent body person. I have done all of the significant work on this vehicle and I will try to list it as best as I can remember. OME heavy front, medium rear suspension, approximately 10 years old, non DAKAR, this is an Australian manufactured suspension in deluxe form, springs, shocks and shackles. Custom headlight harness with heavy duty BUSS relay. this harness has extra fused terminals for accessories and is weather proof. This significantly helps the headlights perform properly. Cibie Headlights. Euro pattern Cibie headlights with H4 bulbs and amber high beams. The low beams on this vehicle are spectacular and the amber high beams can be turned on separately for fog conditions. standard hi beams are a bulb swap away. Custom 0 gauge battery cables. Large gauge cables equal less resistance, military terminals. New, never used Die Hard Platinum battery. This battery is made by Odyssey. I run the same battery in my rock crawler and it does the job as advertised. Currently disconnected and stored on a shelf. Custom front bumper designed around a Warn M8000 winch (not included with sale). D ring attachments, 3/16 and 1/4 inch steel construction, mounts to factory bracket mounting points on frame. Custom rear bumper. Frame tied receiver hitch, D ring attachments, safety chain attachments. Ties to factory cross member with 14 grade 8 bolts. Dual swing out tire carrier with De-staco clamps for closure and hydraulic hatch struts to assist with opening and closing. Passenger side tire carrier will fit and support a 37 inch tire on a 2.5 backspace wheel or a stock Toyota wheel as pictured Drivers swing out has a custom ladder with an integrated, lockable high lift jack mount. I have not completely finished the mount but I have the parts and would be willing to finish and paint for an additional charge. WagonGear rear tailgate storage compartment. I believe these are no longer in production. The frame is in excellent condition with only the rear inner frame reinforcements at the back showing any signs of swelling. I have not personally seen an FJ60 without rust in this area and it is fixable if it bothers you. The braking system has been upgraded with an FJ80 master cylinder and 4Runner V6 front calipers on new rotors and pads within the last few years. The rear brakes are less than three years old as well. I have adjusted the rear brake prop valve for the lift and flushed the system. About eight years ago I rebuilt the front knuckles and bearings using my Toyota SST. I'm sure there is more but I can't remember everything. The vehicle is far from perfect but would make a great driver or a great candidate for resto. Sold as is, where is. On Feb-08-15 at 10:59:05 PST, seller added the following information: 02/08/2015 I have received some questions about the condition of the hood. It is in great condition, I simply forgot to latch it after installing the battery. Also, The interior issues are few with a tear in the drivers seat bottom cushion and a single crack in the dashboard. I want this gone as I need to make room and fund other projects.On Apr-07-15 at 12:16:28 PDT, seller added the following information: I realized that I did not list that the power mirrors are not working, it has to do with the motors in the mirrors and not the controls or wiring. Also, the drivers window can be finicky at times but the other windows and locks work. Again, this is a 26 year old vehicle and it is original.
