Vehicle Detail

1970 Corvette Stingray Convertible I want to start off saying, this is the 1st older Vette we have sold on ebay and I dont have the same knowledge most buyers out there have on these cars. That said, Ill try to represent the car to be best of our ability. Whats great about the L46 cars is you can use todays Premium fuel on them with lead additive maybe, and for a daily driver they are fun and practical and great to drive all the time ! 1970 was the best yr for the Muscle Car era, and the Corvette is no exception. 1970 C3 Stingray Vette / factory L46 300/350 car w/ factory 4 speed. This car runs and is a blast to drive not being fully restored. Snap the throttle and the car pushes you back in your seat easily . The car was parked for many yrs, hence the factory low miles on it and being an AZ car, Ive been under it and couldnt find any real rust to speak of other then surface. The car was a garage queen most its life. Not sure why , but the original motor was taken out with aprox 50k miles on it and set aside, meanwhile a built 350 motor was dropped in. It was a pretty good idea at the time because it was going to be a driver. The ORIGINAL MATCHING #s MOTOR and Heads (long block) Come with the car !! Finishing this car wouldnt take much and so worth it in the end esp with the Original Drivetrain that comes with it. OUR 100% feedback speaks for itself and many of our feedback are from about 15 cars we sold just this past year here on EBay. We put more time and effort into our ads making it much easier for the potential buyers to bid with confidence. Our auctions clearly show the most detail of what to expect Over any other auctions Ive seen online. Buy with confidence !! Although, this wagon has been in Az as far back as we can research, We try to show all the areas well in the 100+ pics below. Mileage and Title show mileage to be ORIGINAL 54950 aprox. Arizona cars are time capsules half the time and the best kind to restore. We not only market our cars with some of the best pics on the web, but we also We do all we can to make the process smooth and simple for everyone involved. We dont come across these too often anymore, so bid to win ! DRIVETRAIN: okay, so the motor in the car runs and drives great but the car comes with the original matching #s long block. The engine in the car sounds and runs well too and is suppose to be new and fresh as well with some HP upgrades. Im going to try to get some #s off the block on the engine IN the car now, because its suppose to be a 4 bolt main motor as well out of an early model GM of the 70s. Still checking that. They didnt put back on some of the AC stuff, and they did do some add-ons for their taste. Whats great is if you decide to put the stock original engine back in, the motor you pull out of this would be great for any other GM project that may need an engine. The 4 spd works well and clutch and rearend feel fine. I was told its the original Muncie still in the car (didnt verify yet). I dont know the condition of the original motor sitting in the garage (see pics below) but it IS MATCHING #s and complete with double hump heads. It spins over freely, and no sign of any major damage, just a few bad freeze plugs. Even the original Timing chain set feels tight with little to no slack on it at all. To me it looks like the they used the original aluminum intake and valve covers on the donar motor currently in the car. INTERIOR: according to the tag it was 411 blue, but it looks to me like most of it is new and the last owner was changing it over to black ? Its not finished and the console is not bolted down and some things under the console are still not connected. The interior needs finishing. It looks complete in the pics but some things are not screwed down on the dash and console area. Also some stuff looks to be missing and not finished under the steering column. Im not sure what all is connected or not, but It wouldnt be all that hard for a professional shop who works on these everyday to finish the interior. For some reason the L blinker wont turn off too. Maybe the switch in the column is bad. On a good note, in the pics the interior does look great and it seems like most if not all the black parts could be recent or new. Carpet looks new too. Tops in nice shape as is all the glass too, and windows work too. If you have any questions... please ask ! The REDTOP Gel battery will not come with the car, sorry. but a good Interstate will. EXTERIOR: so the car was painted its current old silver many many yrs ago seeing as the tag says it was originally a really cool rare color, Bridgehampton Blue. Body looks to be in pretty solid, nice shape. Its going to need some minor stuff done but most cars this old all do. Currently there is an L88 hood on it. The exhaust looks to be aftermarket with Hooker headers and it could be their sidepipes too. They both look to be new as well. Of course they sound great. For some reason the hood doesnt latch when I drop it down at the latches (adjustment maybe) and the wiper cover panel is not bolted down all the way either. Bumpers and chrome are in the great shape too. Yes, it has later model aluminum wheels, which actually look good. Tires are in great shape, almost new. We dont have the factory steel rally wheels. Antenna is missing. I think they where getting ready to start stripping the car and getting ready to paint it which is why some of the stuff is missing or taken off. Headlights wont go down at the moment with the factory switch. SUSPENSION: basically looks to be all stock with some new parts bolted on recently front and rear. See pics. Looks like during the previous restoration being started, there are some Bilstein shocks all around and some new bushings installed front and rear. BRAKES feel great and seeing that the cars been here in AZ expect little to no corrosion in those areas. The rearend is a little high for my taste, but it can be adjusted of course. now and depending on how you want to restore it, this truck is a great starting |point for the next owner, esp if you DONT want to spend weeks fixing rust issues. Check out ALL the pics below -----> If other auctions are not showing areas under their trucks, who really knows what sort of shape its in. Dont find out the hard and $$ way. At least our auctions show as much as possible to potential buyers and bidders. it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra scroll bar on the right side. Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate. more info AFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics. Heres a great chance to buy an early Stingray that you have been wanting. An auction with as much info and pics possible and the best way to buy a truck long distance. A vehicle marketed for ALL ebay bidders and buyers. UN RESTORED and affordable to most all buyers !!! Being sold by us, a seller with excellent feedback and history With ebay and buyers. What more could you ask for ? :) There you have it, probably The BEST represented C3s on Ebay. Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you appreciate them. We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows. IF you choose to buy someone elses car we wish you the best, but if you dont see nice clear pics like ours, who really knows what you are getting unless you can check it out in person first. Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what sort of surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating. People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers. Our auctions have NOTHING to hide . Restore a car like this yourself or locally and you know exactly what you have in the end. Email us with ANY questions before you bid please If you treat yourself to buying one of our vehicles youll never buy a total buckets again from anyone !! Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. Doing restoration on this type of project is less labor intensive which means overall cost is less too ! With less horrid surprises later on. Dont let auctions with little to no pics try to fool you. With other auctions, you really dont know what to expect until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER with great pics to help making your decision easier. Along with ANY other questions you may have. Email me for a quote for shipping. IF the car sells, we will have to figure out how to ship the motor for the car. IF you cant pick it up yourself we can pallet the motor and ship it via truck frt too at the winners expense. Unless we can find a way for the trucking company to take it with them when they pick up the car. (its a possibility, yes) Im sure it will cost a little more either way to ship the drivetrain. Clean AZ TITLE - IN HAND I wont end the auction early !! CAR MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 14 days of auctions END ! we can no longer store cars for anyone !! Unless other arrangements have been made before auction ends. Can help with shipping outside the USA too if you need help. This car, you can see clearly what to expect with no surprises and our Feedback speaks for itself ! Ever wonder why other sellers dont take the time to put up nice clear pics like our auctions ? They always have a lot of fine print and loads of text about their rules on buying from them, but most tend to fail when it comes to posting large clear pics. NOT US !! EMAIL US WITH ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE !! Car will drive onto a hauler no problem, or fly in and drive it home ! We can help getting it shipped all over the USA for a fair price quickly. Chances are people overseas will be bidding on this car, so we can easily get the car to the docks in LA Calif or Houston for a fair price and promptly if you need the help. IF you need a shipping quote, just email us with your city/state and Ill find out our best quote for you !! No problem helping it to the docks if you are shipping overseas . Alot of these cars go overseas and we can help for those buyers. We have had alot of experience in shipping cars worldwide . If there is a winner, please email me when the auction ends and say Hi and we can take it from there. Bank Wires need to be prompt if you are out of the country because they always seem to take longer then expected. I bank with B of A which makes things easy for many out of state for payment. direct deposit or Cashier checks If you wire the funds we must add a $50 fee that our bank charges us. must clear before car can move. Its a sign of the times, sorry. IF RESERVES NOT MET, email us anyway maybe we can work out a deal after it ends. Optional PAYPAL with a $500 deposit only - rest direct bank deposit or wire Or just ALL bank deposit, which we prefer to save on cost and time for everyone. On Mar-23-15 at 22:25:20 PDT, seller added the following information: I havent dropped the gas tank yet to find the broadcast sheet but I may do it this weekend AND I honestly cant figure out how to get the key out of the ignition. Anyone ?
