This is a GREAT CAR!! I am selling this 44,700 mile Miata MX-5 for the owner, I am his family mechanic and he is looking to move on to a European ( VW) convertible with more creature comforts and DooDads.This 2001 Mazda Miata MX-5 has been well kept, serviced above and beyond what I would consider "excellent". To start, the car is clean,straight and rust free. Minor signs of use are present such as parking ding or scuff but the car is crisp and clean with nothing that detracts from its curb appeal. it has a "key" type/malicious scratch under the passenger mirror and some lifting of the "clear" coat on the rear bumper under the passenger/right rear tail lamp.Both are minor and typically almost unnoticeable after a detailing is done. The fit of the body and the excellent shine/strong paint shine goes a long way in forgetting some of the small imperfections,it looks great. The vehicle had 1 small accident in 2010 and the rear bumper cover and lamp were replaced , minor but it shows on the CarFax (shown in the pictures) and it was very minor.The car has a spotless interior with all electrical functions are working well and no mysteries or faults that I am aware of.The Convertible roof was replaced this winter with a Premium Replacement,it has the original glass rear window with defogger option and rain drip rails installed,this replacement was about $1000.00,needless to say its very nice and weatherproof, top quality job.The car runs AWESOME,it starts and runs without a hitch,it has been maintained properly and has had a tune up and all services are up to date,fluids,steering and suspension/brakes have been inspected and are up to the task.Every fluid has been changed out,the clutch was replaced 10,000 miles ago and the driveline is smooth and quiet,shifts smooth and sure,Fun to drive,it never gets boring. The steering is smooth and predictable and new rear struts over the winter soak up the bumps,braking is straight and true with no wobbles shakes or noises. Please feel free to have this vehicle checked out prior to auctions end,there is Huntington Mazda nearby or whatever service you choose to go with, THE VEHICLE IS IN HUNTINGTON STATION NY 11746 .I will assist in helping work with your Auto Transporter, I would also get you from the train station or even a local airport ( JFK OR MCARTHUR). I would not hesitate taking this on a trip back home wherever that may be, though there is no guarantee or Warranty the car has been and still is 100% reliable, do not shy away from taking this on a road trip!On Mar-10-15 at 08:31:29 PDT, seller added the following information: I have added a few pages of the CarFax to the photos,I have a complete report , shows 1 accident in 2010,minor and expertly repaired. Shows all service records but does not show the Convertible top and other fluids,struts etc. done this winter as I suppose it takes some time to show up.
