1987 Stunning looking Left Hand Drive Land Rover Defender 90, or D90 as it is also known as. The car is the more desirable 2.5 Turbo Diesel with power brakes, power steering and 5 speed gearbox. It has only covered 66,000 miles from new.It is a turn key and usable everyday vehicle. I drove it with a fresh transport inspection across Spain faultlessly when I picked it up. It is an extremely clean car considering it's age. The car originally came from Italy and then was imported here in 2002. Defenders until after 1990 are very rare here as they were not brought in officially until 1990 once the mutual agreement finished with Land Rover Santana Spain who produced it's own Land Rover based on the old Series 3 land Rover. The climate here is what's preserved this car in such fantastic condition. No salt and almost all year round sun! The car came from a Desert like region of Spain.It is an economical car and reaches highways speeds with ease. Even more so now with the Ram air effect of the Snorkel.This car is way cheaper than an NAS model and with minimal additions could look like one. Once in the USA the value will soar upwards. You are extremely unlikely to find an original car in the UK in a condition such as this one. Plus they are all Right hand Drive. No adapting of your driving style needed for this car. Drive in Restaurants or any service of that type can be a headache with a RHD car. In order to meet U.S guidelines all cars must be over 25 years and original something that brings all sorts of possible dangers with cars bought from the UK. Chassis swaps, possible identity swaps etc. Spain is very strict with cars here so no such worries there. This Landy is 1987 and original so no import problems at all. It is well within the mandatory 25 year rule for classic cars.I have all the owner papers in my name and can demonstrate with photos, anything you wish to see including the owner papers. It does have some small scratches as can be expected for an 87 car and on the drivers side fender a dent as can be seen in the photos. However it is not $45,000 like the specialists are asking for the same type of car. This is pretty much the same as those minus full paint. For the buyer if you want the option of more items on the car this can be a possibility but must be arranged after purchase. If it's on the car it escapes customs charges. Something to bear in mind should you decide on a Roof rack for example which are very cheap in the UK or maybe a different wheel and tyre combo. I also have the original steering wheel if you require it. Another possibility, if prefer a MPH Speedometer I can source one from UK after the sale if required. Please no scams or anything like that.
