Vehicle Detail

I have a 73 Porsche 911T 5 sp coupe. It originally had a 2.4 with Mechanical Injection. Due to lack of time, space & health I am looking to sell it to someone who wants to finish it. The car was originally Gulf Blue w/Blk interior. The 2nd owner changed the color to a red as the one photo shows prior to me starting the refurb. It is now Guards Red w/ Blk interior. The car has been in storage, not running for over 30 yrs. The car is stored in Southeast Wisconsin. It has been in a heated garage for the last 20 years. It was sold new in Chicago. The 2nd owner purchased it when it was about 2 yrs old. He had driven it in fair weather only. He had problems with the motor’s injection system and finally parked it in his garage and left it there for over 9 yrs. I am the 3rd owner. I started doing a 2.8 RSR conversion on 12 yrs ago. The original motor was seized and scrapped. I started doing a “refurb” that- like most projects- got out of control! The car is 70% reassembled w/the engine & trans to be installed. I have all the parts needed except for a few items to finish the car. The bodywork is done on an almost completely rust free car. It was repainted but due to sitting in too small a garage- it has incurred a few chips & nicks. A good body shop can easily touch up the paint. As you see it, it has not even been color sanded or buffed out yet. The paint does look as high a gloos as the photos show. It has steel turbo flairs added and the front fenders were reworked by hand to match up to the long nose GT Racing RSR fiberglass front bumper. It has a GT Racing fiberglass rear bumper as well. The bumpers are not painted. I have an oversized racing oil cooler lines w/thermostat including the front extended flex lines for nose mounted oil cooler for the car. You will need to acquire the front oil cooler. The body was stripped of all of the interior, electrical, glass, mechanicals and trim and soda blasted to bare metal. It was then sealed, and the bodywork started. I left the factory undercoating under the chassis. The only rust found in the car was the driver’s door strike plate at the bottom, the passenger's door at the bottom and the front valance where the rubber seal mounted for the bonnet. Both of these panels were replaced as complete new panels and a rust free used door. There is an aftermarket Turbo tail on it to clear the Supercharger kit that I was installing. If you do not go to the Supercharger- you might want to replace it with a proper RSR wing. You can sell the Turbo tail and lid. The suspension is upgraded to 84 Carrera rear swing arms and brakes. The front has Carrera front rotors with Wilwood calipers- it needs the front pads & the brakes to be plumbed. The front & rear has Bilstein shocks. There is upgrades torsion bars & a thru body sway bar with adjustable drop links in front as well as a turbo rear sway bar. There is a front strut brace. The original engine is gone. I have a 80 3.0 SC motor to replace it. I have converted the CIS over to an EFI using an Electromotive TEC 1 ECU. It can be configured to look stock or you can further modify it I purchased the motor from Midwest Motorsport as a functioning motor and was told it had a top end overhaul prior to it being removed. It has updated hydraulic chain tensioners. The exhaust is a complete B & B stainless dual in/out 2.5 exhaust w/heat exchangers. I have never had the motor running and I took the word of the shop that had removed it. Even as a core it is worth $4,500.00! The supercharger shown on the motor is not included. I also have a Carrera 3.2 intake system for it. Also available is a Knoxville/Paxton Supercharger kit w/a rebuilt supercharger and the conversion pieces for the Serpentine belt. These items are additional to the sale price. Buy the car and I will give you more than a fair price for them. The motor w/o the supercharger would produce about 220 HP. With the Supercharger- about 325 HP. And the weight of the car is about 2400 lbs. That makes for a real screamer! I do have a dash cap, but I would replace or re-cover it with the quality of this car! It has Corbeau A4 seats. I also have a pair of Recaro Porsche 928 burgundy leather Sport power seats available. They would need minor repairs- and dyed black prior to install. I have all new rubber for it- original Porsche items. All the glass is there and good. The interior is installed for the most part. The suspension is on the car. It has Fuch replica wheels- 8X16 & 9X16 with 2 in spacers in the rear. There is clearance for up to 12 in wide in the rear. The tires will need to be replaced. I have well over $17k invested in parts and paint/body work alone – not counting the price of the car itself. If you were to gather up the parts today that I have you would spend will over $20k! And the shell- with being rust free is worth $10k! I am not looking to give the car away. But if you are looking for a real sound car with potential and have the talent to finish it- you can have a stunning Porsche 911 2.8 RSR replica! There are a lot of spare parts that originally came off the car that will go with it if you purchase it. You will need to come with a trailer and I suggest boxes for all of the parts. I am sure I am forgetting many of the additional upgrades I have with the car. Or without too much rework or expense you can convert it back to stock and have a beautiful original with upgraded performance and driving while looking stock! The upgrades other than the flairs and Turbo tail are all "under the skin". The items that make it an RSR replica would cover most of the price of the used original parts needed to convert it back. You would just have to repaint more of the car. This is my vision of an RSR replica. And since I have never driven the car I give no warranty as to the condition of the transaxle or the motor. Contact me if you have questions about the car or need more photos. Do not contact me about closing the auction and selling it off ebay! I am not desperate and do not need to sell! If it does not sell here I will pay a shop to finish it for me and then sell it for far more that I am asking here. With the current increases in the values of these cars- this is a deal in my opinion. If you do not have the money- just look and dream. DO NOT BOTHER TO BID if you do not have the money to purchase. And if you do not have a satisfactory buyer's rating- you will be disqualified unless you contact me first! I reserve the right to close the bidding early- it is locally listed!
