1988 BMW 325ix 2 door coupe, 5speed manual, all wheel drive. This BMW has been a project of mine, and is nearly complete. Right now the car is an excellent daily driver, runs great, drives even better. Mechanically the car is excellent. The E30 has had a repaint, still in the Zinnoberrot Red. The engine is a rebuilt 2.5 with REAL super ETA pistons and crank. Block and internals have approximately 120k miles, new rings and seals. The head had 110k on it when installed. The odometer is broken, and stopped at 140k. The rebuilt engine and car have around 8k miles, so approximate mileage on the bimmer is somewhere around 150k. Engine pulls hard. This is an 88 IX, and they came pretty well loaded up from the factory. Sport seats, M steering wheel, 13 button computer, power moonroof, power windows, select temp ,time ect from the steering wheel. rear spoiler. Here is a list of everything new on the car, New starter New clutch (bmw) New shifter bushings New rear main seal New output shaft seal New water pump New timing chain New master cylinder New rear driveshaft New front control arms New tie rods New control arm bushings New bilstein HD front struts New H&R springs New headlight bulbs New custom fabbed stainless cat-back with magnaflow stainless muffler. Sounds awesome. New shift boot New guibos All new fluids, diff, tranny etc. New clutch slave and master cylinder New front spoiler Dash is crack free! New front CV boots and new grease Probably a bunch I am forgetting, recently put around 4k into the car. What the car needs to be perfect, this is a list of things I just havent had the time to get to! New or reupholstered front seats. It has the factory sport seats. The drivers has been dyed red then re-dyed black. It is ugly. I would buy a kit. Glove box latch replaced (I have one to go with it) Go ahead and get some Bilstein rear shocks. Odometer repaired, the coolant gauge sometimes dances around. Blower motor replaced, works but not good. Valve adjustment Radio speaker wiring finished, only one speaker hooked up. The P/O left incomplete. Rear speakers are missing. Factory covers are there. radio power antenna replaced. No worky. Rear spoiler repainted, I painted it black because paint was peeling. Front drivers fog broken, and fogs do not work. A/C compressor replaced. Has a few hail dings on roof and hood. Barely noticable. Panel below the dash on the drivers side is missing. I would replace the heater core, it is not leaking, but I'm sure it is original and is bound to go eventually anyway. rear lower valance rust repaired. The car is not "rusty" by any means, but not rust free either. Pics tell the story. The carfax report shows a previous "fender bender" It was repaired of course, and I honestly cannot see any evidence of the repair. Shows multiple owners and a repossession that really effect the score. That sucks. The proof is in the pudding, so come and drive the car in person and you won't be disappointed. I have many spare parts, door cards, extra seats, another oil pan, all kinds of goodies that go with the car. Overall the car is very fun to drive, handles excellent, awd works perfect and has had all the IX issues addressed, driveshaft splines on the front look great, jack test performed etc. My goal was to put the car back into a solid stock looking BMW with a few performance upgrades.
