I am Listing this vehicle for a friend. 1950 Chevrolet ½ ton carry-all. Equipped with a 235 stove bolt six and 4-speed manual transmission. I came in to possession of this 1950 Carry-All during 1991 in Winnemucca, NV. It was sitting out in a rancher’s field and I bought it for parts but it was complete. I knew this was going to be a cool and unique truck when finished. And it is (cool and unique, almost finished)! I have done a lot of work on this truck over the years but it is time to move on to another project. My dad and I had a lot of fun getting this classic road worthy again. It features: · VIN: 3HPI3I1553 · A re-built 235 (just over 15,000 miles). Engine noise indicates rod bearings will need replacement soon (about $75 including pan gasket), · 4-speed standard transmission, · Visor, · Excellent all-terrain tires (235 x75), · New shocks, · New springs, · Steering stabilizer, · New brakes shoes and wheel cylinder kits, · New carburetor kit, · Completely re-wired to 12 volt with a one wire alternator, · New 12 volt 2-speed wiper motor, · Limousine tinted glass, · New exterior paint (flat black oil- based enamel) on glossy white, · New interior paint (semi-gloss gray enamel), · New headliner , interior trim ,and new weatherstripping on the doors, · Recently under-coated, · New oak laminate floor, · An extra top tailgate and glass goes with it. A little bit of rust is to be expected on a 65 year old truck but this is a western vehicle that has seen good care. There is some rust along the quarter seams and along the bottom of the tail gate. That’s about it. Paint it the color you want and you will have a beautiful classic half-ton pick-up that will last another 65 years.
