For sale is a very rare 1942 Buick Coupe Hot Rod (most American Car companies ceased production in early 1942 to support manufacturing war efforts for WWII). This car was built with US Army / Air Force / US Airborne in mind. Military green exterior with US Army / Air Force and Star Decals. Air brushed rivets to complete the army / Air Force look. The interior was built airplane style with original classic / vintage airplane gauges and console (not functional) and new airplane style car gauges (functional / speedometer needs to be calibrated and fuel sending unit -which is included - needs to be replaced). The seats and headliner are made of army pop tents (exposing the original pops) and bomber jacket style brown faux leather. The door panels are rolled aluminum. The engine is a Chevy 292 six inline mated to a 350 automatic with a 9" Ford rear-end. The air filter is hidden under a customized army helmet. The car also has a very loud air siren which rivals any emergency vehicle siren. Tail / brake lights are LED (very bright). The car is equipped with a heat and air conditioning unit (brand new chromed out compressor has yet to be charged). And of course everything was approved by "Kilroy"! The car runs great even at Highway speed and is the star at any car show or parade. You will be noticed in this unique car, photographed anywhere you go and even sometimes saluted. The car is also great for photo/movie shoots and a variety of other events The car is currently is currently registered and insured, has a clean Nevada title in my name, buyer is responsible for pick-up and transport. Car does not have a warranty and is sold as is.
