This car is so fun to drive. It effortlessly turns sharp, quick, and true like only rear engine cars under 2500 pounds do. Mr2 Spyders are very popular for converting to racers. Many people turbo or install larger engines and transmissions. Mr2 spyders are becoming harder to find and their value is rising as many exotic cars values do. My spyder is all stock. It runs perfectly with no misses or hesitations. Steering and braking are both very tight with no shimmy or shakes. Tires all have lots of tread with no weird wear patterns. The abs light is on as well as an o2 sensor light, but doesn't effect the driving. 3rd gear very slightly grinds unless rpms are matched by the driver.(double clutching) It has done this since I have owned the car. I haven't tried to repair it. The convertible top works as it should. It had a couple small holes that I repaired with poly based roofing sealer. Works great and flexible. No leaks. Having a mr2 spyder turns heads and gets lots of attention like much more expensive cars from europe with toyota reliability and price. What a bargain! This car is for sale locally.
