Charlie Morgan 38 sloop, 4cylinder Westerbeke diesel runs great, wheel, mainsail excellent, Genoa good, propane grill, vhf radio, 2 solar panels and regulator, 2 CQR anchors, 1 large Danforth, & 1 claw anchor,9foot Walker Bay dinghy This is a great blue water heavy built cruiser. Plenty of room, keel stepped mast, fast, small enough to easily singlehand, 3/4 keel with well protected rudder only draws 3 foot 9" with the centerboard up. Great boat for South Florida, the Bahamas and anywhere else you care to go. There are no softspots anywhere in the deck or cabintop and likely never will be as the glass on this 1970 model boat is very thick by today's standards. The rigging is about 10 years old, in good shape with nonswaged fittings. The deck has been recently painted but the topside paint is chalked and in poor condition although it's not readily apparent. A common weak spot on this model Morgan is corrosion of the I beams that the chainplates attach to. These have been replaced and the new ones given 3 coats of epoxy paint. Morgan 38s are a very highly regarded and saught after model amongst racer/cruisers. The only reason I'm selling my boat is I'm moving to the west coast and don't have time to sail it there.
