The seats are nice and firm, beautiful red leather color, headliner is great , and the dash is also in fair condition with minor cracks. The wood is in fair condition as seen in the picture, everything is there no parts are missing. The car has electric windows. The engine starts up and runs very smooth and is clean and doesn't leak any oil. The rear windshield has a crack in the bottom corner of the driver side, I already have one and it will go with the car, i also have the damaged chrome molding as you can see in the picture and also it will go with the car. The carpet on the back where the rear speakers are located is missing, and also the leather on the upper part of the rear back seat is dull. The power steering is making a sound and feels stiff, you can find one on ebay for 100.00 dlls. If the price is fair I´m willing to get one for you, so you can take it to your own mechanic to get installed. It drives very nice and the automatic transmision shifts smooth as well. The belts and hoses in the engine are in good shape, 8 months ago all the fuel injectors have been profesionally cleaned and the engine works super well. You have to get a new set of tires, have tread but they are old, so you can feel it when you drive it, TIRES URGENT!!, brakes are good, suspension works fine with no noises, its feels different than the ones with springs and shock absorbers,(it is a little harder), it has a button to adjust the suspension, to get it up or low, I never used it, so maybe you can adjust it. This car was the top of the line the year it came out.. Underneath the car is very solid as well. Its the perfect car for someone to restore or just drive. It doesn't need much to make it a beautiful car, just needs a very good paint job and some details on the interior, Its solid , runs well and truly is a classic sedan with beautiful timeless looks. The stereo doesn´t work, so you will have the task to find an original becker. Mercedes just made like 2300 cars of these in 1972, and this is the number 284, so its very colectible Mercedes Benz.If your looking for a drive that you can slowly restore to perfection this is the car, the sunroof opens, all the lights are working, runs strong. The odometer read 78,800 and I´m pretty sure is the original milage, i bought this car in January 2014 and was parked for 8 years, and the seller was the 3th owner, the second owner was his brother, I just drove this car no more than 100 miles. Its has a Clean California title in my name, it has current registration and is in Non Operation, so if you want to register in California you just have to pay your DMV fees .I bought this car to restore, but I have more Mercedes in various stages of project and dont have time or money to finish it, and I will sell 4 to just have 2 projects to finish.Feel free to contact me if you have any questions I would be happy to answer them.
