Vehicle Detail
I bought this car in 1989 and used it as a pleasure car. In 1996 I put it away in a garage and did not take it out until 2002. At that point I took the car apart to do a frame on restoration. All the front end parts (hood, fenders etc) have been in my basement since then. I also have a disc brake conversion kit (ssce - cost over 1k itself). It has a turbo 400 trans, 12 bolt rear end. When I bought it I put a new carpet in, new dash pad, mega shifter and some other new odds and ends in the interior. Trunk is solid, car is solid !! There is a 3 in tear in the top which was glued back down and has no affect on the function. It is a power top and works fine. Would make a fantastic project for someone to finish as it is not a rusted pile of junk and just really needs TLC and put back together. There is no motor for it but I have a 427 BBC short block I could add for a small price. On Jan-01-15 at 18:08:54 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE (9:00pm Thursday Jan 1st) To answer some previous and future questions - The pictures of the car were taken 12/31/14 - I simply uncovered it and snapped the pics - as you can see from the dust on the trunk lid. I did not take pics of the interior because the car is not kept at my house and the keys were home. I will be by the car tomorrow to take more pics and will post them tomorrow night. YES EVERYTHING is in my basement for the front end to be put back together. This is a complete car less motor only. On Jan-02-15 at 15:16:20 PST, seller added the following information: Took some more pics of the car . Pics of each side of the trunk - I sprayed it YEARS ago in that splatter trunk paint and abviously it did not stick well. There is ZERO rust in the trunk, on the shock towers etc etc. Will just need a good scrubbing to get all the flaking paint out and resprayed or ??. You will see under the trunk is literally new as it was redone before I put it away - Not sure if that was surface rust or prime on the rear frame - I would guess primer (the same as in the trans tunnel in the first pics) Few shots of the interior - very good condition. Is it perfect no - but you can see all is in good shape and just needs a heavy cleaning. I took a pic of the rear window on the conv that I wiped to see. There is a pic of the cowl tag for those of you that want to see original paint codes etc. There is a few spot right behind passenger door halfway up that have bubbled. I asked my buddy and he said it was due to improper prep when painted. The milage on the odometer is hard to read in the pic but it says 36,xxx. That about sums it up. Happy bidding. On Jan-06-15 at 18:19:05 PST, seller added the following information: People were asking about pics of the front fenders and hood - so I had 3 more pictures I was allowed to post so I decided to start digging out the parts from the basement. Here is a shot of the hood and the two fenders. Took more pics of other parts but unfortunately only 24 pics allowed to be posted. Thanks
