Vehicle Detail

The ultimate driving experience for pennies on the dollar and only 66,000 miles! Recently evaluated by Carl’s Place Las Vegas as “one of the fastest and most solid stock 996s we have ever experienced.” Carl’s kept asking if the vehicle had been chipped because of it’s performance, but it has not and is mechanically completely stock. These early water-cooled 911s are under-valued due to the possibility of a catastrophic failure of the intermediate shaft bearing which destroys the engine. There is no proven diagnostic to determine which IMS bearing will fail on which vehicle. So, as to avoid this unknown, the IMS bearing was replaced on this vehicle with the upgraded and better designed LN Engineering http://lnengineering.com/index.php/products/ims.html bearing. As it turns out the IMS bearing that was removed showed no signs of degradation. Additionally the clutch and related parts were replaced. The vehicle is in excellent mechanical and physical condition, was stored always inside and has been owned by non-smokers. It is an amazing pleasure to drive! Additional recent repairs and replacements include new Michelin Pilot Sport tires, a new coolant reservoir and a new mass air sensor. I purchased the vehicle at 59,000 miles in August 2013 from a seller in Little Rock Arkansas and drove it to Las Vegas. It was a really fun adventure. Prior to picking up the vehicle I had a Porsche shop on Little Rock inspect and service the vehicle. Since then there have been 2 oil chances including the last with the bearing replacement. Minor defects in the vehicle are consistent with its age and 66,000 miles: a small barely visible scrape on the hood from a rock that came off a truck ahead; typical deterioration of the metallic coating on the hood release handle next to the driver’s seat; small stone chips in the front bumper and the driver’s seat could use a little attention in the form of re-dying some small areas. Otherwise the physical condition is great and the wheels lack the typical road rash. Mechanically, nothing is required, AC is cold and the car drives beautifully. I wish I could keep this vehicle, which I always described as like driving fast silky butter, but room is needed for a new toy! Buy a pampered vehicle from a private seller and avoid most sales tax! Payment by wire transfer to seller within 48 hours after close of auction, no other payment methods accepted. Seller will assist buyer with shipping arrangements but all shipping costs will be borne by buyer. Recent service records have been added as the last photo.
