Vehicle Detail

1970 Ford Ranchero 500Has 1970 Mustang Mach-1 351 Cleveland Motor and matching Tranny(Automatic)The car starts right up, no smoke, no knocking. Very smooth running, powerful motor. Now the bad and the ugly: Has extensive rust issues on all quarter panels, rockers, floor pans, and undercarriage rust scaling. Rear bed has rust through on wheel wells.(see pictures) Body seems to be ok mounted to frame and I do not see any frame structural rust through.Had the car on a high lift and did ok. Now the good, better, and other: The rest of the car is clean with nice paint for the most part. Interior is very nice.Radio and speakers are excellent. Car Glass is excellent. Trim is excellent. Tires are average but with nice tread. The car runs out fine, however I would not recommend driving this car a long distance without knowing much about it. Suggest that is be trailered although it is registered and a running car. The front brakes will stop the car ok. The rear brakes are not operable. Will need new brakelines. Fuel tank, fuel lines, and filters are fine. Car runs as it should. Has new plugs. The headlights do not work since the light switch is missing. However, the front and rear turn signals work fine as well as the brake lights work fine. The power steering pump has a leak and would need fluid every few days. In conclusion, you might say that you are bidding on a 1970 Mustang Mach-1 351 Cleveland Drive Train and the rest of the car is a bonus. The motor and drive train are worth bidding for in my opinion. I have tried to give as much information as I can. If you have other questions, just ask. On Nov-27-14 at 14:12:34 PST, seller added the following information: Note: the mileage listed at 100,000 is just to state the mileage exceeds the mechanical limitations.Since the Motor and Tranny are not original I have no idea how many miles are on the motor and tranny. My mechanic tells me that the motor is very sound, and it sounds like it is so. This car is being re-listed due to inability of previous winner to follow through on purchase. FYI: This is a 2 Barrel Carb not a 4 Barrel Carb.
