***1957 CHEVY BEL AIR TWO DOOR HARDTOP RESTORED 283 AC 700R4 PDB*** ***ORIGINAL INDIA IVORY AND TROPICAL TURQUOISE*** This is 1957 Chevy Bel Air two hardtop that has been completely disassembled and restored. The previous owner says the engine is the original 283. The car has been repainted its original colors and the interior was redone in the original colors. The trim and chrome have been replaced. Car is stunning in person. It has additional trim such as the trunk trim, gravel shields on the fender skirts and it has a Continental kit. The engine has the original air cleaner and four barrel carburetor. It has dual exhaust. There have been some upgrades made to the car. Brakes are power with a dual master cylinder. Front brakes are disc. The engine has an electric cooling fan. Air conditioning has been added to the car and is R134A; air is cold. Radio is a custom AM/FM/Cassette unit designed to fit without cutting. Both front and rear seats have seat belts. The transmission is an overdrive R7004. The rear end is factory. Car drives wonderfully. It only needs a new owner to enjoy it. The owner is a buddy who asked that I list it - email for his phone number if you'd like to take a look. Paint is glossy - trim and chrome are new This is a true turnkey car that you can drive home. Doors open and close easily. Wide white walls are P205X75X14 with factory hub caps Hood opens and closes easily - previous owner said the engine was the original 283 Continental kit Interior looks great - entire car was completely restored Seats are comfy - there are seat belts front and rear Chrome on the dash is sharp Shift indicator was changed for the overdrive transmission Trio of gauges under the dash Stereo and AC vent Bel Air trim Back seat Headliner and dome light Passenger door panel Driver door panel The electric cooling fan will come on automatically and there is a switch under the dash Engine is clean and runs an original carburetor. Owner says the carburetor does not run as smoothly as it should and has been talking about changing it over to an Edelbrock. If he doesn't change it he will include the new carburetor with the sale of the car. Original air cleaner and valve covers Later model master cylinder and power booster is an upgrade as is the alternator Cold air conditioning Script valve covers and choke tube Dipstick for the transmission - distributor has been converted to electronic Underside of hood Trunk lid opens and closes properly and the kit is easy to move Underside of trunk lid Car has dual power antennas. They didn't come up when the radio is turned on. Spare and jacking instructions Cowl plate - I took the dipstick off to get a photo of it. Note the trim and paint codes are the colors of the car today: India Ivory/Tropical Turquoise 811 paint and Black/Turquoise 673 interior. VIN plate Clear title ready to transfer to new owner - DMV made an error on the title and the owner just recently got it changed to the correct VIN. VIN on car and title match. Owner's manual looks too nice to be original. I'm guessing it is a repo.
