1968 Mustang Fastback 289 C4 Texas Car Overall Very solid and dry New Sheetmetal Perfect Shelby, Eleanor, or Bullitt Clone Doesn’t Need a lot of metal work. Link to Pictures http://s1228.photobucket.com/user/mtdubvee/library/1968%20C%20Code%20Fastback You are looking at a very nice example of a 1968 Mustang Fastback. The car was originally a 289 2v C4 car. An original for 289/C4 engine and transmission does come with the car and will be put in the car prior to shipping. The car will still not be running. The VIN is stamped on the apron but the cowl tag is gone. The car comes with a clear title. This car would be a perfect place to start for someone wanting to do a restoration and make this car their own. It would be perfect for a restomod, Shelby Clone, or a Bullitt clone. The car spent most of its life in Texas so it’s a very dry car. The battery apron isn’t even rusted out which is amazing. The torque boxes and frame rails are in great shape in the front. The fender aprons and shock towers are also in great shape. The car is very solid front to back but does have a few metal issues that need to be addressed. The car needs quarter skins on both sides. The car’s rear frame rails also has some damage and would need to be straightened or replaced. It’s dented up. The Passenger trunk floor pan has had work done to it before. The upper cowl has been drilled out to repair a few pin holes in the lower cowl. The upper cowl has since been damaged so the car will need an upper cowl panel. The roof and upper quarters are very nice. This is just a great place to start for a fastback restoration project. Very rarely do you see them this dry and not completely rusted out. The car does come with some interior pieces and the front and back seats. All of the interior needs completely redone. The car comes with new fenders, new trunk lid, new rear valance, and an original or aftermarket turn signal hood. Buyer gets the choice. This is an excellent opportunity to get a highly desirable 68 fastback that is not a rust bucket and comes with a drivetrain. Thanks for viewing and please ask any questions or come and inspect the car for yourself anytime. I will ship the car anywhere in the world at the buyer’s expense. Car is sold as-is with no warranty. Immediate non-refundable $1000.00 deposit is due upon purchase. Balance is to be paid in cash, or by cashier’s check or wire transfer. Cashier’s check will be held until cleared by the bank. Thanks for Viewing and good luck!
