Vehicle Detail
Triumph TR6SR This Triumph was built over the last couple years and has just barely been on the road. Fun bike, but must sell to fund another project. The frame is an original Triumph front loop with a weld-on hardtail. By the numbers, the engine is 1964 TR6SR (which they only made 478 units) although it is titled as a 1965 TR6SR with numbers matching title and engine cases. I have had several British bikes titled one year newer than the numbers would reference due to being titled the year they were first sold/imported. The engine was rebuilt a couple years ago and has VERY VERY few miles on it. The head is a T120 Bonneville dual carb head, which was gone through during the engine rebuild. The tranny works as it should and shifts well. The forks are harley narrowglide with the mounts truned off and lowered 2". Front wheel is a new harley 19" and the rear is a 16" harley rim laced to an original Triumph hub and drum brake. The rear wheel has some rust on the rim as it was bought used and was never replaced. Tires are both nearly new AVON. The tank was new at the time of build. Paint is old school metal flake and is very presentable. Magneto works excellent and the bike starts first kick, maybe second on rare occasion, even in very cold temperatures. The youtube video was taken when it was 34° outside! The Amal monoblock carbs have been gone through and work very well. Due to freezing temperatures I didn't wash the bike so there will be dust, dirt, grease, smudges etc on the bike. See it run and drive in this video: http://youtu.be/VA4sL9AAJ9Y The wiring is the only real fault I have with the bike. It was stuck together to get it up and going. It should wrapped with some wire loom or tape. It works but should get cleaned up. The headlight and tail light work but the brake light does not. This has nothing to do with how the bike runs because it a magneto system. The wiring is exclusively for the lighting system. There is a SPARX battery eliminator in the wiring system. You will also have to mount your own license plate. This bike is a nice recently built bike, but it isn't "restored". It will have faults, leaks, imperfections, used pieces, bolts that need tightened after rides, etc, etc, you know, typical vintage British motorcycle stuff. This is sold as-is, where-is. The high bidder agrees to pay a $500 deposit within 24 hours of auction ending. The buyer is responsible for paying for and arranging transportation. Buyer also agrees to have bike picked up within 14 days of auction end. The remaining balance of purchase price is due within 7 days of auction end. The bike will not leave my property without full payment. If the bike isn't paid in full within the 7 days, buyer forfits the $500 deposit and Seller can relist and resell. I am not unreasonable and am willing to work with buyers and their schedule, but if you require any special treatment outside the aforementioned terms you MUST make arrangements with me before the auction ends, not after. Just communicate your needs while the auction is running. I can help a transport company load the bike. It is the buyers responsibility to determine condition of this machine. By placing a bid you agree to these terms and conditions. Cash or wire transfer are the preferred method of payment. Title is clean and clear, still in previous owner's name. This bike is also for sale locally, so the auction may end early. I have experience with shipping motorcycles internationally. I am willing to crate this bike for an additional $300. Feel free to email me with any questions. BID EARLY AND BID OFTEN!
