Vehicle Detail

Selling my 67 chevelle race car. It was ran at Fremont drag strip back in the day. Last ran in 1987 when the big block blew up. No motor or transmission. Ran at Winston strip too. Had a BOP 12 bolt in it with no pumpkin so I took it out replaced with a 10 bolt out of B body just to roll it around. 12 bolt is included! Has roll cage, solid floors. Originally had bucket seats, as I can see the spot welds were removed for a racing seat. Back package tray is really nice, no rust, no speaker holes cut. But again this is a race car. Has no glass. They ran plexi in all windows except rear. Interior has been skinned with aluminum. The doors guts have been removed to save weight. Although I do have a nice pair of complete 67 doors that go with it, glass included, tracks, handles, all there. Trunk has fuel cell. Really no rust, its been inside 27 years. Right in the middle the trunk was cut for the sump on the fuel cell. But no other holes. The rear quarter panels have been flared, pretty well in my opinion. They didn't cut reliefs and weld it back together like frankenstein. The just rolled the outer edger out about 1" on each side. Probably explains the BOP 12 bolt they were running and huge meats for tires. Comes with reversed rallies look about 11-12" wide. The outer inner fenderwells in the trunk have been removed. They are 2 piece (halves) the outer half was removed to flare the fender. They can be put back in with a 1" strip added to widen. No inner front fenderwells for saving weight as well. Manual steering box works fine, drum brakes all around. brake lines are there. Originaly a 4 speed car, now a automatic but still has skinny brake pedal. No clutch pedal, assembly there though. Firewall was pounding in to fit the big block too. Powerglide shifter installed. Safety driveshaft hoop welded in. All this has been untouched for all these years. Doors open and close like new. Dash is in great shape with a heater delete aluminum skin. Not cut up. Absolutely no rust around front windshield chanel. Rear window channel still has some broken glass in there so I haven't removed it to see underneath, but im pretty sure its in good shape as the surrounding area is not falling apart. Roof braces inside the car are spotless, again no rust. No hood hinges. No deck lid hinges. This is a race car, did I mention that. Fiberglass snorkel hood, steel hood included. Fiberglass deck lid and rear bumper. Front frame horns have small dime size holes drilled out for weight saving. (like that's gonna do a lot, but that's how they did it back in the day) Nothing hangs off the front frame horns on chevelle that is structural so its not messing with integrity of the frame, just a old school modification that was done. Bill of Sale as parts car only. No VIN tag, it was removed a long time ago when turned into a race car. I do have a VIN for it and old registration, but it needs to be verified & new VIN affixed legally in order for me to feel comfortable selling to another party as a streetable car. You are more than welcome to do your research on the VIN, but it will be your responsibility 100% to deal with DMV in your state. California is a nightmare, another reason why this is a RACE CAR. Awesome car, would love to build it as my shop race car, but I just don't see any time in the future to start this project. I almost want to just keep it for its negstagic racing history. These days you don't cut up a chevelle to make it a race car, they're just too valuable. Here's your chance to own one, and bring it back to life on the track. Feel free to ask any questions.
