Up for bids is a rare 1985 XL80S Honda. This was the last year these where imported. 2 owner machine. 2 of these where bought new in California. Where used at a camp they had in the mountains. Has always been serviced and well taken care of. Has only 4600 miles. This was his bike. (hers has 2700 miles) I bought them 3 1/2 years ago after they retired. I could not believe how nice they where kept. Was last on the road in 1991. This machine has at some time had new tires, sprockets and chain. Here is what I have done to it: New battery, complete engine tune (oil, valves, cam chain, ignition timing adjusted) Carb overhaul with all new orings and gaskets. Fuel tank flushed and in line filter installed. (tank is clean inside) New air filter. The sealed beam headlight had one beam burnt out. They are no longer available. I replaced it with a S90 Honda unit I had. Now the bulb is replaceable and cheap! The only drawback is the adjuster did not line up. It works just fine. This bike runs as good as it looks. No smoke. All lights and turn signals work. Starts and runs as it should. Also comes with original toolkit and owners manual. Has a few scratches and the wear of a 30 year old machine. Never was used as a dirt bike. If you are looking for a nice street legal pitbike for your motorhome or just a fun bike. This is it. Would make a great Christmas gift for a child also.
