Up for auction is my 1981 Volkswagen 1.6L NA diesel. It's a strong runner that gets great gas mileage both in town and on the highway. Both the engine and transmission have been completely went through and rebuilt (I do have receipts, included upon request by winning bidder). Car still has original Cashmere white paint and tan interior. The body is pretty straight for a 30+ year old car. Shock towers front and rear look great, so do floor boards. Has a minor rust spot by the windshield, but can be saved (this is a common spot for these old rabbits). Awesome candidate for a full restoration. Recent work includes: -Machined cylinder head (new valves, seats, resurfaced bottom) -Engine block honed and resurfaced (Pistons were good, the were soda blasted and got new rings, rod -bearings, and bushings) -New gaskets top and bottom (Everything from valve cover to oil pan) -New coolant hoses -New radiator -Bosch rebuilt injection pump -Rebuilt alternator -Rebuilt CV Joints -Rebuilt OEM Injectors (Bosch nozzles that have been pop tested and balanced) -New Timing Belt -New Water Pump -New Pulleys and tensioner -New front Brakes -Round light conversion (had the ugly square wrap around grill before) ****I know there is more but this is the major work**** This little thing has never left me stranded; there's still a lot of life left in it as well. Looking to pass it on to an enthusiast who will care for it as much as I have. Good title and recent inspection (October 2014). Only trades I would entertain are first and second generation Jetta diesels and Rabbit Pickup diesels. I am looking for one in the same condition as mine though, with a clean titled.
