Vehicle Detail
This is a 1969 Camaro. The restoration was completed in 2012. I bought the car locally from a gentlemen that purchased the car from a Mid West dealer that specializes in muscle cars. I do not have allot of information about the restoration. I can say that this is a very nice car. Not a show car, but a dependable driver, or with a little work, a great car to upgrade for a Pro-Stock candidate. It has a rebuilt 454 with less than 500 miles on it. It starts every time and runs strong. No smoke and seems to have a bigger cam in it. I just had all the wires, distributor and cap done. The engine compartment is clean and correct. It has front discs and rear drums for brakes, with good rubber and all the trim rings are new. This is a power steering car. The suspension is the period correct, and has not been up fitted. But it drives strait and true. Its a 4 speed 10 bolt main. I'm guessing it's a 3.55 rear end, so good on fuel and is very drivable at speed and in traffic. Interior is clean and been refreshed with the popular white houndstooth. A custom center console has been added. This is a non- A/C car with radio delete. The carpets are new and have minimal wear. It's a looker with the jet black paint. The body is rust free and has allot of new sheet metal. The rear quarters have been done and the trunk pan is new. The paint is nice around the exterior. There are a couple of spots that could use some work, but it shows very well. The striping is excellent through the trunk lid and the cowl induction hood. All the chrome is new. It has all the correct Camaro SS and 396 badging. I do not have undercarriage pictures, but I can tell you the gas tank is new and it doesn't leak fluids. I did notice a slight "seep" from the PS pump, but it has required minimal fluid replacement. I love the car, but my needs have changed so it's time to let someone else enjoy her. Happy bidding! So please, don't bid, unless you are willing to write the check. Thanks.
