1969 Mustang Mach 1 R Code 428 Cobra Jet Great Project Car I am selling a 1969 Ford Mustang fastback original 428 Cobra Jet R code Mustang. Overall, the car is very solid as its has been garage kept most of its entire life.The VIN is still stamped on the driver side fender apron and matches the VIN on the title. This would be a great car to turn back to stock or keep tubbed it and make a drag car out of it and a nice street car that you could fit some big rubber under. No motor or transmission. I have the original steering column, and original steering box. Front valance is very nice and straight. The rear valance and taillight panel are in excellent condition. There is no rust around the bottom of the windshield or rear glass anywhere. Very solid.The dash has not been cut up at all. I have the original dash, dash pad, gauges, both doors (that need skins) with glass, fenders are in great condition, taillight panel area is in great condition, roof is in great condition.The car has been tubbed out. The rear currently has a beefed up narrowed 9" rearend under it and a 4 link rear suspension.Aside from the tub and surrounding area, the rest of the car is basically untouched. The car is very solid in the front frame rails, door jambs etc. The car was garage kept its entire life. The front shock towers have been shaved some to accommodate big motor at one time but those can be fixed easily. This would be a great car to keep tubbed out or to return back to its original glory.The grill is original and in great shape.The fender aprons are basically untouched and very solid. The firewall is very solid. Has some sheet metal riveted over the heater holes etc but will come right off. Last titled in 1977 and has been setting in a garage for 30 plus years.
