Hello, I have a 1971 Super Beetle that was bought on April 26, 1971 by a gentleman from the Pearl Harbor Volkswagen Dealership in Honolulu Hawaii.I have paperwork when he got it. The Bug stayed in Hawaii until Sept 30, 1996 when it was put in a container and sent to Auburn New York to the new owner, I have shipping paperwork. The new owner drove it for about 3years till 1999 when it was not registered after that. Keep in her garage for 15 years, 1999 stickers still on car. I bought it from her and took it home.. Finally about the car, it has 87000 miles on it, It was repainted once the original color, Marina Blue. We cleaned complete car,pressured washed wheel wells and pan, undercoated wheel wells. The engine got a compression test, a little over120lbs in all cyc. Got all new tune up parts,fuel filer, air cleaner and oil change. Transmission works good in all gears, Brake drums and shoes good but needed all 4 wheel cylinders and a new master cylinder new fluid and system was bleed, Brakes work great. We replaced all light lens, New rear bumper, carpeted trunk,and installed washer fluid bottle. Car comes with car cover also. Now the bad, It has a am-fm cassette player that was never hooked up, wires are taped to radio, I don't no when car was painted but it has a few spots of chipped paint and a little peeling on door hinge, I had paint mixed to match color and touched up those spots. This car is a really nice car. It will make someone a great ride. All paperwork ,cover, and paint will be sent with car. I am selling it locally also so it may go quick.
