1962 Austin Healey 3000 MK 2 –BT This car is a barn find restoration. I was rebuilding this car to be a daily driver, but family issues have created the need to sell. Paint is new and beautiful with a small chip on trailing edge of passenger door. Motor runs smooth with all new internals, pistons, bearings, hardened valve seats, valves, all new valve train (complete re-build by a master engine rebuilder within last 4 months). SU cars re-built by an SU specialist All new fuel delivery from the gas tank forward, including fuel pump, and fuel lines. Radiator has been re-cored, with new hoses, and thermostat Transmission shifts smooth, seals are fresh, with electric overdrive (new solenoid). The clutch and pressure plate are new and the flywheel had been re-surfaced, with a new ring gear installed. Brakes, front and rear have been completely re-built. New and complete brake lines, front to back and at each wheel. Wheel cylinders have been replaced with new ones. Calipers refreshed with new pistons, and rubber, with machining done where required. Rear drums turned, and new brake shoes installed Engine compartment completely re-furbished to original. It’s beautiful! Z All new electrical. New battery, distributor re-built with new and proper wires. Complete new wiring harness, front to back. Starter and generator completely rebuilt. I worked hard on the chrome, and it looks very good for a car that is over 50 years old. The floor has just been insulated. I have a complete trunk matt kit, which will be included with the car This car is street legal, and well on the way to completion, but still needs a few more things to become road worthy. The front suspension needs a complete re-build, along with the windshield motor, and shock absorbers. The shock absorbers need to be either re-built or replaced, and the interior could use an update. The interior has not changed from when the car was found. I have the tonneau cover, and a spare tire. The tires are Pirelli Cinturators, but are old and tired and need replacement I have spared no expense to this point on this Austin Healey. I had one when I was a teenager, but circumstances force me to sell.
