Vehicle Detail

1978 Porsche 911 SC Coupe, Rare American Spec, non-sunroof, crank window with 3.2L FI Conversion NO RESERVE!! Last listing and won't end early. Beautifully built 1978 Porsche 911 SC with 3.2L conversion. Fuel injected. Can chip or turbo this engine with ease. Roughly 43,000 original miles on chassis and 73,000 on engine (85 911 3.2L FI). 83,000 on 915 5 speed transmission. Runs great, fast and can drive this car everyday to work or weekend rally. Upgraded 930 turbo oiler to increase oil pressure and reduce oil temp. Leaves a little oil spot due to increased pressure but nothing out of the ordinary for a 911. MSD coil and Magnaflow Stainless muffler. The Cats were deleted, but still have the original stainless, almost perfect condition, Porsche muffler that comes with the car. I do not have the Cats. I also have the AC compressor and all AC components, but are all deleted due to weight and just 911 AC aren't that good.... Porsche Mexico Blue exterior with tan leather interior, 996 leather power seats, carbon fiber accents, MOMO suede steering wheel, rare crank window model. Aftermarket carpet. Converted to lightweight C2 style front and rear bumpers with stock Porsche C2 side skirts. Also has C2 decklid with the electric wing that raises and lowers and carbon fiber rear reflector, front brake air ducts and tinted lenses. Tinted windows (though not the greatest job). The car is lowered and are sitting on 16" MSW wheels (I have yet to find these available on line) and sitting on brand new FALKEN AZENIS 215/45/16 front and 225/50/16 rear sport tires. Absolutely no rust whatsoever. Only repair was below the battery box, which was a small spot rust that was repaired correctly with full battery box sheet metal and fully welded in. Everything else was taken down to metal prepped and repainted 2 years ago including the engine compartment with no rust found, floors are perfect too. New windshield and glass is perfect with only a few small scratches on the passenger glass (almost unnoticeable). Paints 90% to 95% of perfect. The car has no maintenance records as I am the one who built it and went through everything that was sourced. I bought the car off of a gentleman by D.C. about ten years ago and he pulled the engine and trans. I know the car came originally from Puerto Rico and then up the east coast. I purchased a 3.2L off of LA Porsche Dismantlers and they probably have a more detailed history on the motor than I have, but it runs great. Inspected and replaced seals, new hardware, oil pressure and temp sensors, as well as upgraded to the 930 turbo oiler (Increases oil pressure to reduce temp and foaming more lube. Engine is solid, does not burn oil and runs great, sounds great. Leaves a few drips of oil at cool down. All serial numbers below: Purchased the transaxle online from someone who was parting out a 1982 911 with 83,000 miles on the drivetrain. the Transaxle was never opened and is stock how it came from the factory and has always been dry. Never had any problems with it. VIN/Serial Numbers (1978 911 SC Coupe) Title is clear with no liens and is in my name ready to sign. Have pics of title, vin plate and body stamp. All numbers match!! VIN is 9118200540, same as VIN Plate and Body Stamp Production sticker in the door jam says 9/77 Also you can see the mileage of 42,510 original miles on the title when I registered it. Engine from 1985 911 (3.2L) 72,240 miles when purchased Serial Number: 64F00324 (F=1985) Model 930/21 (21= Cat Engine US) Transaxle from 1982 911 915 5 Speed (US) 915/63 74C 4871 (C=82) I built this car as a dependable personal everyday driver, but am now moving across the country and need to delete some assets. This car is complemented everywhere it goes and I feel that the price is very reasonable for a car of this magnitude and for a car this solid and dependable. Small items that a weekend or two of tinkering would complete this car to 100% .Turbo for around $5K if you want to build it. I just want to be precise on what the car needs to be 100% complete in my eyes, just don't have the time and need it gone. - The speedo is still the original mechanical and have not converted it to electronic signal style off of the 915 5 speed. Just sell or trade the one for the other. I just use my phone app for a speedo and is way more precise with 0-60 times, etc... All other gauges work precisely, even the beautiful quartz clock! - The motor for the C2 wing doesn't work anymore and I never replacd as its just as easy to place it up manually. - The driver and passenger window scraper seals were removed and haven't been replaced. - I have the AC compressor and components removed, but all come with the car. The AC bracket is still connected to engine and lines still in place from front to rear, just no compressor or blower motor installed, but have them for buyer to install. I have also removed and update the climate controls on the dash with carbon fiber plate and rocker switches (I also have a push button starter installed along with the standard key ignition) - I do not have a rear sway bar as I was planning on upgrading to an Elephant racing reverse sway, but have not found the time. There is no sway in the suspension it as it sits now with the suspension lowered and is tight handling without. (Suspension is lowered by adjusting of the torsion bars and re-indexing the torsion tubes, easy to return to stock height or adjust as you see fit) Does not hit or scrap or rub anywhere and handles great. - Small trim pieces, such as the power window switch plugs for the door panels, the passenger side carpet threshold trim, and haven't installed the rear view mirror but comes with the car ready to install (had a new windshield installed and haven't found time to put on). I know how it is buying a car online so I am trying to be honest on all details so you don't have any surprises. This is a great car all around and is the rare non sunroof crank window 911 model, drives great, sounds great, looks amazing and is absolutely a great price for the car that you will be getting. Clear title, good numbers, ready to drive anywhere. I also will not end the auction early and pick up is the responsibility of the buyer. I cannot deliver. Will be the last listing for this car! Don't let Thanks.
