Vehicle Detail
Moving to the middle east and the toy has to go, so my loss will be your gain. I purchased this car about 7 years ago, I have kept it in my garage at all times. My wife and I used to take it a lot on weekends, but since we had the baby I only use it by myself. Got a job offer overseas and I have no choice but to sell it. It was going to be a project to work on, but never had the time to really take the car apart. The car runs and drives great! It will take you anywhere, starts right up and purrs like a cat Here are the details for those interested: 1971 Volkswagen Karmann ghia factory convertible with matching numbers. Originally Irish green and at some point was painted red as pictured. Engine: *1600CC Dual port matching numbers. *Dual Weber carburetors 40IDF with CB Performance manifolds, filters, and linkage. *Full flow oil system. *Carter electric fuel pump. *Bosch Blue Coil. *Bosch 009 Distributor with Compufire electronic ignition. *Bosch AL82N Alternator. *Brand new battery purchased today 10/18/2014 IRS 3.88 Freeway flyer transmission and overhauled cv joints and Scat shifter Galvanized fuel tank Low mileage on all four tires New Rear brake lines and cylinders As I mentioned earlier, the car runs and looks great! however, it needs work, this car needs both floor pans replaced, there are some bubbles here and there with signs of rust (Please see ALL pictures, follow link above). Needs the upholstery done, the rear seat is missing the backrest part of it. Make me a decent offer, no low ballers, no tire kickers. I know what I have and what it's worth. I will include several spare parts as follows: All parts and components to revert fuel and electrical systems back to stock except the PCIT34 Carburator that I no longer have. I will include a spare IRS transmission in perfect working order. Spare coil, Motorola alternator with regulator, Nardi wooden Steering wheel (you will need to buy the right adapter which sell for about 100 bucks online), many other new and used parts. Feel free to ask any questions. Local pick up or you arrange your own.
