1968 Corvette Convertible for sale. This car has been completely restored and runs perfect. Its a number matching L79 327 ci V8 that puts out approximately 400 HP. M21 close ratio 4 speed transmission, 3.55 gears. Everything on this car is new including a new 750 Holley Double Pumper, new distributor, new alternator, new headlight actuators, new wiper door actuator, all new vacuum system, new wiper motor, and new wiring. Headlight doors operate perfectly, and the wiper door operates perfectly but only on a manual override.(small actuator behind the tach needs replacing) Wipers work perfectly 90% of the time, but occasionally they do have a mind of their own. (The more often they are used, the better they work, however being a summer car, I rarely bother turning them on) The rally wheels are powder coated (each entire wheel) the correct silver argent color, new tires and brakes, new aluminized 2 1/2 in exhaust, and new removable rear speakers. Paint and body is excellent, although there are 2 or 3 MINOR stress cracks in the paint. (Largest is about 1/4 inch and this is not unusual for a 47 year old fiberglass car). Paint is approximately 8 years old and is very glossy. Convertible top is new and fits very tight, with excellent rear window. Its not faded and is only up during the winter, under a car cover, in the garage. The engine is very strong, burns no oil, and runs at 65 psi oil pressure. It was rebuilt approximately 5800 miles ago. Transmission and clutch shift smoothly, and the car runs cool (about 200 degrees). I am the 3rd owner, and the prior 2 owners put more than $50k into this car (I have receipts in a binder to prove this), which goes with the car. I also have an extra vacuum tank (very hard to find) that has been tested and holds sufficient vacuum to run the entire vacuum system. This car looks great, runs great, is a blast to drive, and wins just about every show its entered in. Totally turn key and ready to drive, and absolutely everything works. This is a must sell as I'm looking at a new project and need the room.
