Vehicle Detail

I purchased this car early summer 2014 as a toy for myself. The gentleman I purchased it from owned it since 2008 spent a lot of money and drove the car sparingly until he decided to let it go. I am looking at another toy and have to let this one go to make room. After enjoying driving the car over the summer I took it into the shop for maintenance and a small fuel leak. It is a typical “old Porsche” that leaks and uses a little oil but runs very strong. I will break the car down into sub-categories to describe the car as accurately as possible. The Body and Paint- It is a steal widebody turbo look. It was originally Gemini Blue metallic {335-9-3} and was painted black, over all looks good but is starting to show some age. There is some clear coat chipping around top of car and minor bubbling {rust} on bottom of doors and right fender. The "Chassis"/Floor pans- this is by far the most solid 911 I have seen from the front pan all the way back this tub is solid and original. The only damage is on the side rails slightly crushed {see pictures}. Obviously done when someone tried putting the car on a lift. The Interior- the black leather front Recaro seats are newer {cost over $3800.00} and look super cool and very "euro"! The rear seats are original and are incredibly well preserved as well as the carpet and interior panels. The black dashboard has a crack up by windshield. The car is also fitted with a leather wrapped MONO sport steering wheel, another cool option. Fitted with an aftermarket Kenwood stereo with Alpine speakers for your music enjoyment. The Suspension – is very hard and stiff. The car handles great and turns on a dime, has that “GO-Cart” feel. The Lights and Electricals- all lights, switches, gauges are working as they should. The only issue is with the horn it only makes a very low sound. The Wheels and Tires- The car has the rare 16 inch BBS brushed aluminum and gold wheels. No curbing or damage all four rims in excellant shape. These iconic BBS's are wrapped in Yokohama 225/50 ZR16 on the front and 225/45 ZR16 for thr rear. The tires still have plenty of miles left on them. The Engine- Five years ago the following work was professionally done to the car: Entire engine swap 2.2 liter removed and replaced with a rebuilt 2.7Liter complete with 75-77 style CIS fuel injection. Along with Kuehl air conditioning, new Wetmeister air box, new clutch kit and many more parts. I have the receipts from BodyMotion totaling over $20,000.00 for parts and labor that was completed. Engine swap was done when car had 120k miles The Transmission- The 5 speed was overhauled and reinstalled when engine was done. Shifts smoothly through the gears without grinding. The Glass- The car has all the original glass with no cracks or chips. There is some scratching {keyed} on the divers window that is prominently more visible with know that the windows tinted. I had the sides and back windows tinted to 20%. In Conclusion I am selling a nice 911 “Driver” that needs nothing major and only some minor freshening up to make a great reliable classic Porsche with many many more years of enjoyment left. I will gladly answer any questions explicitly as possible to the best of my knowledge. If you want to make me an offer that's great I will consider it but my intention is to let the auction run its course. I also want to mention that I am a licenced dealer, so if the new owner lives in NJ i have to collect the sales tax. Good Luck!
