Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is another out of my private collection. I have too many cars and not enough garage space, so this one has to go. I have had this 1984 LeSabre Limited for about 1.5 years. Its a VERY nice original 42000 mile car. I bought this car from a fellow BCA member from Buffalo -- a collector who also had too many cars an a ton of old Buicks. He told me that the car originally belonged to an early investor in the Buick car company, and he got a new car as part of the deal every year. This was one of them. It was repainted shortly after the original owner took delivery, I was told, because of a paint defect of some sort. The paint is very shiny and bright, but is not perfect, its no trailer queen -- but looks fantastic for an 84 model -- no paint checks or dull spots, just a very few light chips and dings you would expect to find on a 42000 mile car thats 30 years old. The car was undercoated when new ... so the bottoms of the doors are perfect and so are all the painted surfaces. The vinyl top is near perfect as well, with very deep color -- its in its natural state in the pix that were taken on 10/9. I am extremely picky, most of my friends think this is a better than new car, but collector types are usually our own worst critics. The interior is almost as new and 100% original. No rips, no tears, no cracks no nothing. Just what a 30 year old car that has been stored inside should look like. The carpet is very nice and rich, the pile still high and perfect on the bottoms of the doors as well. The power antenna works, as does the radio -- although the display is a little finicky until the car warms up, but eventually does just fine and functions as it should. The headliner is original and sags a little when its cold out, but sit the car in the warm sun for a bit and its barley noticeable. The rear defrost and cruise are inop and have not had them checked out. The power windows, seats, and mirror all work great, the power locks can be a little finicky too, but work if you press the button hard. There is a small ding down low on the rear chrome bumper and the typical surface (light!!!) rust on the unprotected engine bits and the underside bits as well, NOTHING major at all.... Did i mention the rarest thing about this car -- THE ASTROROOF!!! It works as designed, the CF5 code is in the trunk, and really makes this car something special. All in all the visual condition of this one is a solid #2-. The mechanics will take you back to 1984. The car starts, steers and stops like a new one. We just serviced the car from top to bottom, did the rear diff seal, and the valve cover gaskets, put on new tires and fixed anything else that was not 100%. A new battery was installed. The AC blows ice cold, the heat is red hot. It runs down the road at 85mph like a new car .... The transmission shifts as it should. No funny noises, smells, shimmies or shakes. The factory wire caps are in great condition as well. Please bid to own, ask questions, or send a rep to look at the car. Note my 100% feedback on VERY expensive items. I have really "over picked" this car. It shows beautifully - I bought it because its the last car I remember my grandfather having, and I just wanted one. Now to make room for some of my other projects and interests. Questions??? Jason 770 206 0168 Good luck and happy bidding!!! Folks that have negative or low feedback will have to get with me FIRST or you bid will be cancelled .... On Oct-10-14 at 07:21:33 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been informed of a possible error -- this vehicle is a Park Avenue, which I am being told is an Electra, not a LeSabre ..... If this is correct and you would like to cancel your bids, I will happy to do so. I have a few Buicks and I got crossed up. This should in no way effect the value of the car, but I will be happy to cancel your bids .... PLEASE READ THIS STATEMENT!!!!! <<<<<<<<<<<<
