Vehicle Detail
This is a very original example of a 1964 Ford F100 Custom Cab pickup, which has a 223 6 cylinder engine, and 3-speed manual transmission, with the shifter on the column. This truck has been parked indoors, in a clean garage with a concrete floor, since 1992. It was driven in and parked because it started having blow-by with the engine. It was puffing smoke out of the oil fill on the valve cover, and it was even pushing some steam out of the dipstick hole. Everything on the truck was working, and it was licensed and on the road, prior to this. It had been setting since 1992, until we acquired it in April 2014. It comes with an additional 223 6 cyl motor, from a 70,000 mile 1964 Ford Pickup, which was running when removed from the truck. Both motors turn freely by hand. The original one in the truck could be rebuilt, or you could drop the other on in it to put it back on the road. The radiator is still holding clean anti-freeze, which has been in it since 1992, and the oil in the original motor is also still very clean, as well. The absolute best thing about this old truck is that it is virtually RUST-FREE!!! The hood, doors and tailgate all open and close perfectly, and the glass is all in great condition, too. The bed of the truck is in great shape for its age, showing only some surface rust on it. There are no major dents to the floor of the bed at all. I believe she still has the original tires on her, as well!!! The original baby blue and white paint color is all still very nice, too, showing only minor surface rust, and a few dings and dents here and there. The truck has a clean Missouri title, as well as the original keys. If you've been looking for one of these vintage Ford trucks, you know how difficult they are to find in this nearly RUST-FREE condition. This is a great, original candidate to get back on the road. Overall, this is a very clean, original example of a vintage 1964 Ford F100~ She's A wonderful piece of original American Automobile Americana. Most of the pictures were taken in bright sunlight during the early afternoon, so there are quite a few photos with shadows on them, and in some of the photos, the truck almost appears white. This is all due to the sunlight. This truck is being sold in as-is, where-is, non-running condition. No guarantees or warranties apply.
