1991 Ford Explorer 4.0L V6 5 Speed Manual RWD 166,693 miles The Good - She ain't perfect, but she runs good. It has been my daily driver for 9 years without letting me down. Starts every time and runs solid. I kept the oil changed regularly. Even with the higher mileage it still has plenty of get up and go. - Is only a 2 wheel drive, but it goes very good in the snow. I drove it year round for 9 years and never got stuck up a single time. - Rust is not a problem. It was a South Carolina truck before I got it. Other than rusted through in the driver side rocker right in front of the rear wheel and surface rust on the rocker right in front of the rear passenger there is not a spot of rust on the entire body. The paint looks rough as the clear coat is flaking off on the hood and top, but again, there is no rust. - Pioneer DEH-10 SuperTuner III 45x4 channel Single Disc CD Player stays with the truck. Has a 4 speaker system and sounds fantastic. The Bad - Inspection is expired, however it only needs new front tires to pass. - The brakes need bled. I rebuilt the front brakes with new pads and rotors about 8 months ago and didn't get them fully bled out. They are a little soft, but stop well. I advise getting them properly bled. ABS light stays on, I assume because of them needing bled. - Check engine light stays on. It has been on for 6 or 7 years. I had it checked out years ago and they said there was a bad sensor somewhere. It runs fine so I saw no need to spend a bunch of money finding and replacing a sensor. - Windows have come off of the tracks and only roll down if you pull down on them while pressing the button. When you push the button the motors still turn, but the windows don't move. - Has leather interior, but the front seats are in rough shape. Nothing a set of seatcovers wouldn't fix. Also the headliner is drooping. Recent Parts/Repairs - New hydraulic clutch cylinder 01/2009 - New Dynaflow catback exhaust 02/2010 - New starter 02/2012 - New front brake rotors and brake pads 10/2013 - New water pump and tension pulley 07/2013 - New battery within the last year or two but I can not recall the exact purchase date Vehicle is listed for sale locally.
