Vehicle Detail

This is the last time I'll list Old Blue, and if he doesn't sell, I'll pack him away and throw some money at him next spring. I bought this truck 5 or 6 years ago, and used it for a couple years as it was. The original 240-6 motor was pretty tired, and while taking stuff to the dump one day 4 years ago, it quit. Unable to find anyone on the island I live to rebuild the motor, I ordered a rebuilt '67 300-6 that mated up nicely, and it's been on the road since. I believe the heavy duty makes this a 9" rearend. The truck is a manual 3-on-the-tree. I put 5000 miles as the milage, but I doubt it's really that high as I live 2 miles from work, and I don't use it every day. Other things replaced recently include a rebuilt brake master cyclinder, wheel cylinders and brake pads. It's pretty much a running project, as the interior needs a redo, and the body needs rust repair and paint, which is what I'll have done next if it doesn't sell. I recovered the seats with new white vinyl last year, and they look great. I also put new tires on it last spring, and they still look great. It got a new exhaust system from the manifold back last year as well. None of the gauges have worked while I've had it, except for the gas gauge. All lights and wipers worked, and the truck passed Mass state inspection just a couple months ago. It's currently my daily driver as my jeep is broken down... As usual:) It does have rust, but all repairable. Floors have holes, but are fixable. Tailgate has rust, but is fixable. Checkout photos... Nothing that can't be cleaned up. Like I said, if it doesn't sell at this lower price, I'll have the bodywork done in the spring and relist at a much higher price. I rhino lined the bed 4 years ago after having it sand blasted. I love driving this thing here on island, but it would benefit from steering work if used daily at freeway speeds. It tends to wander a bit. With that said, I would drive it at 55 as far as the tank would take me. I had a couple requests for more photos of the underside, so the last couple snaps show the frame and outriggers. No rust through anywhere I could see. The crumbling stuff is the old undercoat deteriorating, but other than that, just surface rust. I bought the truck from a guy in Kansas, not sure of how long it had been there, but definitely was not an east coast truck before I got it. I'm willing to deliver the truck at no charge to the Steamship Authority ferry dock Hyannis, MA. Ask any questions, and see photos for details. I have title in hand and will provide a bill of sale. No warranty whatsoever. On Oct-07-14 at 13:15:21 PDT, seller added the following information: One person was looking for a video of the truck running... I don't have a GoPro, but here's a short video with my IPhone. I forgot to mention that the windshield is a little cloudy around the base and has a couple small chips and a bb-shot. It's been that way for all the years I've had it, and it still passes inspection. I think you can see the bb-shot in the film which made me think of it. All the other glass is good and has new rubber from 5 years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuxtIOzmI4w
