This is a very rare car with the Marti Report to prove it. Please see pictures and the look closely at the Marti Report. A great investment, but not too expensive to enjoy driving every day if you decide. I have had the car in Myrtle Beach all summer and have enjoyed driving it. I now have moved the car to my home in the country for the winter and have no room to keep it inside. I have decided to sell the car in No Reserve Auction here on Ebay. The Convertible Top is 1 year old, Paint and Interior is 2 years old and the motor was rebuilt 5 years ago with very few miles driven since then. The tires and brakes are fairly new as you can see from the pictures. All pictures were taken within a few hours of the listing. I have driven the car mostly around town, but last weekend I drove it to another city 12 miles from where I live on the Hwy. and have had no problems. Whoever painted the car a couple years ago could have done a better job sanding before they painted. The car does have some blemish spots that have been painted over, and a few scratches. The car is not perfect, but it is beautiful! This car is in really good condition and the title claims the milage is not actual, but everything is so tight and works that I believe it to be a low milage car. The doors, front end, everything is tight. I do not believe the engine is original or the heads have been changed, as the car came with a 4V and the heads on the car now show 2V. I make no promises as I bought the car like you see it. The car will need someone to install the new exhaust manifold included in the sale, also adjust all windows from Having the convertible top installed it changed the postion of the stopping points so I am told, they all work and with your hand you can align them but I am told its an easy fix. The pulsating tailights have a new circuit board but need the flasher installed under the dash before the will pulsate, they work fine as regular tail lights but the Cougar was always known for the really cool lights strobing across the rear when the brakes are applied. The hideway headlights work great. The original horn and am radio does not work. The power top, windshield wipers, gas gauge, speedometer, etc..works great. There are a box full of rubber gaskets and other small things to be installed before you drive in the rain very much, but I have them and they are included in the sale. I do not mind showing the car during the auction, but please do not bid and win then want to buy the car without making the required deposit in 24 hours and/or try to give me anything other than dead presidents when you come to pick it up. I will accept a bank check if it arrives within 3 days of auction ending, but the car & title will remainin with me until the check clears my bank. Out of State checks can take from 7 to 10 days, YOU MUST MAKE THE DEPOSIT AS REQUIRED REGARDLESS OR I WILL NOT HOLD THE CAR FOR YOUR OUT OF STATE CHECK TO CLEAR. Cash in 3 days of Auction ending is preferred but I can work with until the weekend if you cannot get off work during the week, again as long as the deposit is made on time.On Sep-29-14 at 18:34:42 PDT, seller added the following information: The plastic lens that covers the gauges needs to be removed and headlight lens restore kit applied to take the haze from the plastic. Please see the pictures of the interior dash area benind steering wheel and passenger area of the dash where the clock also has the hazed plastic lens. Please ask questions if you see anything.
