I purchased this Ex when it was bone stock and had all the work (engine, suspension, tuning) done at a diesel shop in Richmond, VA. My family and I travel in this truck so I took every precaution to ensure that it would always be 100% mechanically reliable while balancing fuel economy and power. It has been an awesome truck but we are using it less and less and have decided to sell it. I have a clear title in hand. Winning bidder is responsible for shipping or pick-up. I will consider helping with pick-up (meeting half-way, etc.) within a 1.5hr radius around Richmond, VA. Engine Upgrades – performed in January 2013 *ARP Head studs installed *New Motorcraft Heads *New head gaskets *New Bulletproof Diesel EGR Cooler – I also have an EGR delete kit that will come with the truck (could not install due to state laws) *New Motorcraft Oil Cooler *New fuel injectors (replaced all 8) *New “Diesel Site” coolant filter kit *New Amsoil bypass oil filter kit (w/ remote pressure gauge) **When this work was performed, I flushed the coolant system with deionized water to remove all the debris that is left in these blocks during the casting process. The cooling system was then filled with a 50/50 mix of Caterpillar ELC and deionized water. Since I have owned this truck, I have changed the oil every 3000 miles and changed the Amsoil filter every 6000 miles. **All this means that you will not have to worry about the common drive-ability issues that these engines can have… it’s BULLETPROOF!
