Vehicle Detail

1967 Ford Fairlane 289 2bl (C code), Automatic, Dark Moss Green Metallic, bench seat, drum brakes Car was a restoration project that has been in storage since 1989. The car is in its correct color code. The body is in good condition with light surface rust on exposed areas. The worst rust is on the left rear quarter drop down, the driver's side drop down is ok. There is also one small dent on the right front fender on the lower section, the fender was dented when the car was removed from the garage, dent can be pulled out easily and straitened. All the weather stripping will need replaced. The seatbelts are in need of restoration and are all present. The interior is all original and in need of restoration, dash pad is cracked and the carpet is shot. The front bench also has a tear, the rear might be able to be saved. All the glass is ok but does have light scratches from being over 45 years old. Tires are shot but the car comes with two sets of rims, the ones on the car and the original steel rims that also have the factory hub caps. All stainless on the car is ok but could use a good polish. Both bumpers are straight but will need rechromed, the front being the worse due to pitting. The metal dash has been not been cut. As far as the undercarriage, torque boxes are good, floors are good but do have surface rust but no visible holes are present. Rails are fine, trunk is ok and so is under the front engine compartment. The car also comes with a new gas tank. As far as the drivetrain, its all present and original date coded to the car. However the motor will not fire but does turn freely with a battery. We are in the process of trying to get it to fire but at the moment there is no spark at the distributor. The car is original all the way down to the air cleaner and has not been messed with thru its life, this is a perfect restoration project as its complete and needs little sheet metal work. As far as the top, it is an elactir top but does not go up and down, the pump does make noise and all the hardware is in place. The top itself is dry rotted and will need replaced. I have tried to describe the car from front to rear but I am human and do miss things, so please ask questions if you are a serious buyer and I will do my best to answer them and get you a photo of that specific area if possible. No smoke or knocks....has slight miss but that's to be expected after sitting since 1989.On Oct-01-14 at 09:43:26 PDT, seller added the following information: Also, car does move under its own power in all the gears.
