Vehicle Detail
Rust free Idaho truck. I'm the 3rd owner. First owner, retiree, bought it in NE Idaho to tow his 5th wheel. He put 57000 miles on it over 15 yrs. Second owner, still in NE Idaho, (Idaho does not use salt on the roads), bought it from the old mans wife after he passed. He owned it for 7 years and put 14000 miles on just using it around town. I found it for sale in Nov. 2010, and drove it home from Idaho to central Illinois. This truck is so clean I don't allow myself to drive it during the winter months. It has literally never seen salt. As you can see in the pictures, there is no rust anywhere. This baby runs and drives superbly. In April, I took it to south Texas and trailered a car home. It has a tow package from the factory. 4WD works great. Engine runs great. Truck drives and stops great. You know how rotten old trucks feel and sound when then go over rail road tracks? (can't hear yourself think, maybe slip a disc in your back) This truck is tight and quite, all the suspension and steering is tight. This tires were new when I bought it 4 yrs ago, still plenty of tread left. I've put 17000 miles on it in 4 yrs., 2 big trips, and a few up to Wisc., but mostly just running around here hauling firewood and misc. from the lumber yard. I use this truck for the purpose it was designed, so the bed is scraped up with a few little dents, the tailgate isn't perfectly straight and each bumper has a slight ding. The body though, is spectacular, guaranteed, no disappointments. Only 3 negatives worth mentioning. 1. main engine seals are leaking, rear main, front seal, & pan gasket, (I've bought a seal kit but haven't gotten up the energy yet to change them out, the engine has to be removed to do this). 2. truck came with AC but has not worked since I've owned it. 3. the front brake pads are new, but the discs are not and they are slightly warped, not a big deal, most people probably wouldn't even notice it. Not many of these things left in this condition, get yours while you can. One more thing, if you know 460's, you know they have all kinds of power and can pull a house over, but the mileage is terrible. 8-9 around town, 10 if you baby it. I got 8.3 overall on my recent trip to TX. You'll have no problem drive this thing home anywhere across the country.
