First production year of the Biscayne, this car boost styling that is no longer seen in later models. This Biscayne came with the 283 cid (4.6 L) V-8 with 185hp, and a 2 speed Powerglide automatic transmission. The car is partially restored to mostly original with the exception of a modern radio having been installed; the original radio is still in the car. The car starts and runs smooth as seen in the video. The exterior has been repainted in the original colors in 1999. The interior was reupholstered in 1999 also, but the hard surfaces are still untouched. The car still has the original glass with the left rear passenger door window being cracked (see photo). The chrome does have some scratches and dents and is the last major part to finish the restoration. The carburetor was replaced with a period correct 2 barrel in 2009 and a fuel filter was added. As with most old cars, this one leaks transmission fluid. Underneath the car is clean with no major rust. This car can be a daily driver or finished to be a show car. The odometer is broken and no longer works, currently reads 29,999 miles. I do not know the true mileage of the car. The clock does not work.
