The Landrover was first registered in May of 1989 so is over the required 25 year old threshold for American import. Furthermore, it is a fully matching numbers vehicle. The VIN stamped on the front chassis leg matches the VIN on the brake booster as well as the VIN number on the UK title . In addition, it has the original engine, gearbox etc and so i can 100% guarantee acceptance into the USA. The Landrover has a UK MOT until 2015. This is an annual test which checks brakes, tyres, emissions, steering, chassis corrosion etc etc and it passed fine. It was owned by a wealthy family around the London area whos two sons learned to drive in it. They owned it from 2003-2014 and the previous keeper from 1997-2003. The Landrover comes with an unbelievable file of history. It has all the pre delivery inspections and reports from when it was first new in 1989. There is all the paperwork from then on for all the work carried out etc etc. There is a stamped service book which is very very rare indeed. You can see how much documentation comes with it in the images below. A true one off find!!!! The Landrover looks very good in this satin black colour which the previous owners had done. The paintwork is in good shape and the panels are nice and straight. Dont get me wrong, it has some marks and it is not of showroom quality. There are a few touch in areas here and there and an odd ding and scratch as you would expect on an unrestored 25 year old Landrover. The panels are actually pretty straight compared to most at this age. The chassis is in good shape as you can see from the many images below. It is very solid indeed. It was being used as a daily driver up until last week so its ready to be used and appreciated. It has a set of anniiversary Landrover alloys fitted and these are wrapped in some good off road tyres. There are also some other off road extras such as upgraded springs and shocks, tree sliders, uprated trailing arms and polybushed, snorkel, rear ladder, front spotlights and rear work lights. There is also a nice chequer plate kit fitted along with good headlight protectors. The inside is pretty much original. The middle of the 3 front seats has been replaced with a cubby box and the 2 front seats are finished in a tan cloth. The seats are in decent shape with just a couple small areas of wear but nothing major at all. The rear of the Landrover has 2 x fold away bench seats. These have been custom made as the bases are wider and more comfortable to sit on. In addition they fold upwards to increase storage space if needed. The door cards are in good shape with the addition of some chequer plate to the front two which looks good. There has also been a raptor dash fitted and this houses the switches for the spotlights, worklights etc. The doorsa are in good shape. The rear door has been replaced and is solid and the frames are good on the front two, just a small amount of corrosion in the very corner but thats all. The bulkhead is superbly solid with no issues as are the footwells which look to have been replaced at some point also. The truck starts well and the engine runs nicely. The gears all change well with no nasty noises etc. The clutch operates as it ought to with no issues. The brakes, steering, suspension etc all work as they ought to. The water temperature sits nicely in the middle of the gauge with no overheating at all. The indicators, wipers etc all work with out fault.
