800x600 This 1983 Honda CR80 was purchased locally as a basket case project-I included a “before” picture. My son (who was recovering from a sports injury) and I tore it all the way down and performed a complete rebuild from bare frame to completed bike. The purpose of the project was to teach him some mechanical skills and have a good bike in the end. He hit a growth spurt and the bike is too small for him now. The bike has about 10 hours of run time since it was completed. We replaced parts with either “new-old stock” or good used. The engine was rebuilt-cylinder bored, new piston/rings, new bearings, new seals and gaskets. It has new Michelin Starcross tires, new decal set, new paint, and a new chain. There are 3 items that are not done-1) The radiator shroud was originally bolted to the radiator with small tab that broke off. I don’t weld aluminum so it’s held on with a zip tie. 2) I don’t have the small heat shield that mounts on the exhaust pipe. 3) I don’t have a kick stand. I will include the following spare parts: a new piston (next oversize)/rings/wrist pin and bearings; an almost complete set of transmission gears; an original Honda Shop Manual. If you want, I’ll also include a CD with a hundred-or-so digital pictures taken throughout the rebuilding process. This is an excellent vintage motorcycle. It starts, runs and rides great. This is a 31 year old motorcycle. It is in very good condition for its’ age. The color on the plastics are somewhat faded and there are small scratches. It comes as pictured, what you see is what you get. I prefer local pick up. However, if the buyer arranges shipping, I will assist in loading or any way I can. I am in Wyoming and off-road motorcycles were not titled in 1983. I will provide a bill of sale. If I know of a defect I will list it or show it in a picture. It is sold AS IS and no returns.
