Express was initially a bicycle manufacturer (and like stated by them the oldest one on the European continent!) but also one of the first motorcycle manufacturers in Germany. After a period that business went down in the late 1950’s (because of the mass introduction of economical priced small cars by many European car makers), production ended in 1959. This machine is in a nice condition for the year and starts instantly/at first kick! It is running and riding Really well where everything works except the speedo/odometer. A few years back both the wheels have been restored in a most professional manner where back then the rims have been re-chromed and new spokes and bearings were fitted etc. Furthermore also the complete frame has been professionally re-painted, where also new bearings etc. have been fitted when putting the bike back together again. The odometer reads 68368 km (= 42481 mile) only don’t have any history to back this up and also don’t know since when the odometer is malfunctioning. The paint on the panel work is old and showing cracks everywhere, but there is no rust or corrosion. Also the chromed parts like handlebar, exhaust-system, handles, pedals etc. are not nice and clearly showing age. This machine comes an official bill of sale from my company here in Belgium, an official European Certificate of Origin which states the make, displacement, VIN & all other relevant specifications, plus I’ll make sure that all the correct export-paperwork will be in place before the bike leaves from here, which documents will make the process of importing it into the US an easy ride. -On this listing I’m offering a special (fully sealed) crate, careful packing and physical shipping from here in Belgium to a US Cfs as close as possible to you at my expense. Please note; In case the bike needs to be shipped to another destination than the US, please ask whether I can offer you such a deal as well before placing a bid (mostly this is not a problem, but then it’s always better to make sure).
