Vehicle Detail

Extremely nice 240D purchased from the original 96 year old owner. Very clean. He had the same mechanic work on it all its life. The mechanic worked for a major police department here in Texas. He put one of the "police interceptor" name plates on the trunk. I think it was a joke. The cars not that fast. I bought the cleanest 240D I could find and then went to making it even better. I had the A/C gone through, new stereo installed, tinted the windows, replaced every front end part to make it handle nice and tight. The engine compartment is clean as it can be. The trunk has a nice original mat in it. The carpet is nice, (small tears at the part that goes under the seat of the passenger front). It even has a good set of Mercedes original floor mats. Cars of this age... the question is about the rust. This has been a Texas car all it's life. There is no visible sign of rust on the car. The seats look good without tears. The rear seat backrest had a seam come apart and was stitched from the top side. It should have been stitched from the inside. A good upholstery shop will fix it up with a good stitching and a little extra padding. The odometer says 199,000, but the original owner said that it wasn't correct. He didn't have an exact number. The car runs out strong and hardly uses any oil. The transmission shifts perfectly. I would drive this car anywhere. The pictures will tell the rest of the story. Contact me with any questions
