Up for auction is a 1953 Studebaker Champion with original 39,999 miles. I have a Ohio registration from 10 years ago to prove it. Interior looks to be original in my opinion. Still has cloth gaskets around the door. Body is very solid, no apparent rust, frame rails are all solid, cross member solid. Car has been sitting for 10 years, rolls free, goes in all 3 gears good with no problems, motor turns free. It is a 169/170 85 horse power, three speed on the column with overdrive. I have not started it because there are a couple wires where the cloth has came off and they are bare, I don't want to burn anything up. Car still has original four ply poly tires on it. Car was left at a shop and the owner passed away, so paper work needs to be filed for title. Each state is different. I have a bill of sale from the mechanic shop to help insure you can get the title. All stainless is in really good shape, the two grill inserts are showing a little bit of peeling. Bumpers are all in good shape and not dinged up, drivers door glass has cracks, all other windows are good and no bubbling. Very nice little car, a little TLC to put back on road.
